Could NOT be easier
I’m on day one, so this is definitely my first impressions. In a word, fantastic. My wife is in dementia and will be moving to a Memory Care facility soon. She loves Spanish acoustic guitar. It is one form of music that mellows her out right away. She cannot do anything that requires “steps” such as go to a channel then adjust the volume, etc. She has problems with our recliner that has only 2 buttons–up and down. The operation of this box is perfect for her.1. It was very easy to transfer our music mp3 files to her player. (I did archive off the original band music that came on it just in case I needed to return it.)2. The simple On/Off lever is perfect.3. The availability to increase/decrease volume is good, especially since it is not intuitive for a dementia patient to use it. If volume change is needed, staff can do that for her.Overall, I highly recommend this unit for anyone who is near the mid stages of dementia. No frustration at all–ON — OFF. That’s it.

Love it!!
It’s so “simple” to use! I highly recommend it for people with dementia and special needs adults or children. Normal radios and music players were to confusing for my mom to operate. She has moderate dementia and loves listening to her music. The labels that come with the box are in English and several other languages which is wonderful. I put on the English and German labels for her. There wasn’t any label for the black skip button though, I have to make one to remind mom. I tell every one know about this fantastic invention! The only glitch I have run into is I can’t load songs with my Chrome laptop and my Android phone. Loading the songs with my desktop was pretty easy. I need to contact the company and see if there is a way to use anything other than the desktop. The music seems to calm mom down and I don’t want to take it away to load more songs. This is a great piece of equipment. Well worth the money. It sounds really good and feels sturdy. We’ve had it for 2 months, so far so good!

I’ll recommend this a lot!
Perfect for those with mobility issues, not just memory. The look of this speaker is simple and vintage looking and the color is a bright, cheery green. The sound is exceptional. My only complaint is that I wish the volume was a bit more accessible. The directions were clear and with a little tech know how, it was fairly easy to load with a very large amount of content. The price was decent for a speaker of this quality.

I only wish I knew of this player sooner
For those of you with parents that find using cd players and radios difficult to use, you should consider this player. I got it for my mom who has dementia and hasnât been able to use a cd player for years. This is simple enough for her to be able to read and see that she just needs to lift the lever to play music.Volume setting is easy to do, but does make it hard for others unfamiliar with the product to know how to adjust the volume. But that was done so for reason so the person using it doesnât have to deal with fumbling with the volume. It sounds well and works well. If I were to have to find a con, it would have to be about the preloaded music. My mom is 80 and sheâs too young for the music that comes preloaded. Her prime time would have been more of the 60s, not the 30s and 40s.I personally stream all my music and so I found it very difficult to find music from the 60s. Iâm not from that time. Sure, I can download music from the Beatles. But Iâm sure there were many many more artist from that time. I did come across a good number of âhits from the 60sâ albums that I could download from Apple and Amazon and Google, but none were from the original artists despite how hard they tried to deceive me. I finally searched around online and found a website that has 100 hits from the 60s all from original recordings. Anyway, I just wish we could have these preloaded. Or provide websites of where and how to get this music.

Frustrating if you want to load your own music!
We ordered this for my mom and were excited to load it with songs she would enjoy. We went through the long and rigorous process of downloading MP3 from iTunes and loaded them onto the included USB. When we turned the music player on, it would only play one song at a time, rather than play continuously. The preloaded songs (which were nothing my 73 year old mom would enjoy) played continuously, but as soon as the player got to the songs we downloaded, it would play one song and stop. If we pushed the Next button, it would play the next song and then stop again until we pushed Next button. That’s not the way it’s supposed to work, and that’s certainly not a good user experience for someone who wants to listen to music!Customer support said they’d never heard of this situation and sent out a replacement issue. Second unit had the same problem, although this time my husband used his PC to download the songs onto the USB and we had the same problem. When we tried again to download different songs, neither my Mac nor my husband’s PC would recognize the USB any longer. We gave up after several hours of trying different things. This product had so much promise and I was so excited about it, but it was impossible for us to make it work as it was described. (And my husband and I both work in tech, we’re very familiar with downloading files, checking their format, and then troubleshooting when something goes wrong. But we absolutely could not get this product to work with downloaded songs.)

Ideal music player for those who have dementia
I loaded this player with 7 hours of music for my father’s enjoyment. He now plays it all the time. It has helped him fight the boredom of being in a assisted living care facility. It came loaded with a bunch of 40s WWII songs that I eliminated. I then uploaded MP3s of jazz and standards that my father loves. The way it starts by just opening the lid to play is great. Although, I worry that it is a little fragile as it is just plastic. There is a big button for skipping songs which is also a nice feature. The sound is satisfactory with no really loud bass or highs which probably works best with hearing aids.My only dislike is the volume selection being in the back and only available by using a pen. I’m sure the point of this design was to keep the dementia patient from changing it by mistake. However, in the case of my father, who has mild dementia, he would like to be able to turn it up and down.

My 87 year old father struggles with his memory and is lonely when I (his daughter) is not with him so this music player is perfect!! Honestly it is a game-changer! He loves music and particularly 40âs music â which the player comes with and we have also purchased (online) additional 40âs music and Hungarian music which my dad loves! I can not emphasize how easy it is for my dad to turn on and off the music player! We had a little struggle learning âhow to addâ new music to the music player, but after a little research (and the help from our 23 year old daughter) we are experts now. We already have approximately 140 songs on the player and we have only filled âapproximately 20%â (maybe even less). Yes, the music player was a bit pricey in comparison to other such players, but it is worth every penny considering this is for someone who needs something simple to use and with lots of continuous songs to listen to. My family highly recommends purchasing the SMPL One-Touch Music Player!!

Me costo casi $700 el seguro, se zafó la tapa del aparato y no me hacen caso, me trate de comunicar con el vendedor y nada, con Amazon y no me ayudaron. Amazon fue el responsable y debió apoyarme.

Bought this for a Christmas present. It comes with what looks like a USA plug, so useless for UK use. Amazon should not sell it on this site. And I think it’s illegal to sell electrical equipment with incorrect plugs for power.

I had to exchange the first player I bought . Seems I was the unfortunate “one in a million ” to receive a faulty one . But Monmouth based E2 L Products with admiral efficiency & speed replaced my KOTO Music player . I gave it to her in time for her 79th birthday . Travel was our great hobby and now I know she is really enjoying music/songs from the Beatles to Bocelli & everything in between . Our family are delighted at their mums smiles ,when memories are recalled . Strongly recommended the KOTO music player for those in similar situations .
