Best Podcast mixer
I recently picked up the Tascam Mixcast 4 Podcast Studio Mixer, and I have to say, I’m really impressed. This is a great little mixer that’s perfect for podcasting or live streaming. It’s compact and portable, so you can take it with you wherever you go.The Mixcast 4 is really easy to set up and use. It has four XLR inputs, which is perfect if you’re recording a podcast with multiple hosts or guests. The mixer also has a USB interface, which makes it really easy to connect it to your computer and record directly into your DAW.One of the things I really appreciate about the Mixcast 4 is the sound quality. The preamps are really clean and transparent, and the mixer has a built-in compressor and EQ that help to shape the sound. I’ve used it to record both voiceovers and musical performances, and it’s performed admirably in both situations.Another great feature of the Mixcast 4 is the headphone output. It has a built-in headphone amplifier that’s really powerful and can drive even high-impedance headphones. This is great if you’re recording in a noisy environment and need to monitor your audio closely.Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase of the Tascam Mixcast 4 Podcast Studio Mixer. It’s a high-quality mixer that’s easy to use, portable, and produces excellent sound quality. If you’re in the market for a new mixer for your podcast or live streaming setup, I highly recommend giving the Mixcast 4 a try.

I love this thing especially with two TRRS/cell phone ports/functionality built in, buuuuuuuutt
Update from 4 to 5 stars: The front Phones 1(TRRS) port always worked. It was my Y splitter that was bad. This thing ROCKS!2nd Update from 5 to 4 stars: I don’t know if it’s the latest f/w update but playing audio from your computer through this sound bad and clips. I thought it was the recording into the camera but when I play something from my computer and route it through this via USB it sounds bad and very much clipped. If I play the same content over my computer speakers or speakers on my Dell monitor it sounds fine. Not only that, I paid nearly $600 after tax this past March and now it’s selling new for $399!!!3rd update here and back to 5 stars. If you want good playback from your computer via USB to the Mixcast 4, disable processing on the USB channel. It’s ok to select none, voice or music from the voice settings but disable all other processing. I opened a support ticket and got a response from Teac within 24 hours asking me to call them while in front of the unit but I solved this and the call wasn’t necessary so I’ll give them 5 stars on customer support. Thank you Tascam/Teac.I got this to replace my Yamaha MG10XU + iRig 2 and it works swimmingly well! This thing oozes with quality and you can tell it’s been well engineered and well thought out. The recent f/w update considered everyone’s comments so thanks Tascam! I will update if and when I can get the front TRRS jack to work. I have two head sets and a Y cable that takes the mic plug and phones plug and brings them into one TRRS male plug. But I can’t seem to get the port to pass any sound even after reading everything there is to read about it and reading the forums. It was over $600 delivered but you do get a real manual as well as a Tascam TM-70 microphone, 2 Tascam headsets and a 16 gig SD card. Tascam is smart in giving product away that probably won’t sell, as an incentive to buy the Mixcast 4 and get them saturated and embraced in the world of podcasting and streaming. Now, back to getting this front TRRS port to work.

Good low noise board with plenty of gain for dynamic mics
With the new software update that allows multiple simultaneous effects on different channels, this board comes alive. It’s no studio mixing board with multi channel sub outputs, but it does a very good job with multi talent studio interviews and podcasts. I also use this for screening and interviewing patients. It has Bluetooth for connecting callers, and if you do use this for recording lectures and podcasts, it has a “dodge” feature that automatically reduces the volume on all other talent and channels as you speak, to prevent others from talking over you. This is an extremely quiet board that allows you to use a Shure RE20 dynamic mic without a preamp or internal hiss when you crank up the gain. It has a multitude of user recordable tracks that you can play while you answer your cellphone or get a snack or take a short break. You can also load up sound effects or music for theme intros or whatever. You can also use this with software on your computer and record or edit all channels simultaneously. It has individually controlled headphone outputs. You get a lot for your money, and I prefer this box over a Rode.

You canât beat the price
You canât beat the price. It is a little dated compared to its competitor the rodecaster pro. Also, it doesnât get updated as frequently as latest update was about a year ago. But ultimately it does everything you need to to create a a really great podcast. You honestly canât lose.

I bought this mixer a few weeks ago. The mixer is has some weight to it and is pretty easy to use except for the firmware update. However after watching a few instructional videos on YouTube I was able to get it done. I’m still trying to navigate the podcast recording software but the mixer itself is top notch.

Prodotto davvero bene fatto.

Man muss jedes Profil einzeln anpassen / Einstellungen ändernPro:-
