Great for ukuleles too!!
This works perfect on the ukulele. You can use it to hold music while pulling it up on your phone and recording yourself playing or going live. You can also turn the phone landscape, but for my purposes I like the vertical position. There are two holes to use for the different mounting positions. I wouldn’t run with it. There is always the potential for it to get knocked off, depending on how small or large the headstock is. Love it!!

Not quite strong enough to stay on headstock
Quite well built. The clamp on the phone is very sturdy and very versatile. My only gripe is that it doesn’t grip the headstock strong enough for my work in the childrens music industry. It’s fine if you’re standing still, but if you are an active guitarist, it slips off after a few jumps. But I’m enjoying it clamped to a mic stand instead.

Heavy duty for random cell phone video or possible music reading
Useful for general desktop cell phone clamp/stand. You could use it on a music stand for music reading or maybe on the headstock although it is a little heavy. Well made for the money but not sure if you would be happy with leaving it on the headstock if your guitar it lightweight. It is strong but the rubber clamp can come off but not really a problem if you keep it in mind.

Good idea but…
The idea is there, but the execution of this product just didn’t really work for me. I’m using an iphone X and put it on a few of my acoustic guitars. Here’s where it didn’t work for me…1. The distance from my tuners to the end of my headstock on my guitars (two Martins and a Taylor) was not enough to really seat the clamp. It was never really secure on the headstock and moved with the slightest movement of the guitar.2. It’s difficult to get the camera dialed in. It’s just awkward trying to hold the guitar and put your phone in the holder and then get the ball swivel just right, and you should never use the selfie side of your smartphone to record something like that, so you can’t really see what you are shooting until you’ve taken video and as mentioned above, every time you move your guitar the clamp shifts and ruins and set up you had.3. The angle is too close to the headstock. There needs to be something like one leg of a gorillapod so that you can get the camera just a little further from the guitar to take in more of the shot and for better sound capture. That all being said… it was worth trying for $12 or whatever I paid for it. The whole unit is solid and well made. I’ve actually clipped it to other things, just not my guitars anymore. It’s a well made product, just didn’t really do what I wanted it to do.

Perfect gift! It still has a great spring in the grip and works well.

Improper fitting sizes – Doesn’t work
The threads on the vertical end of the cell phone holder are too big for the ball mount. At first I thought the threads were stripped but the female part internal nut is simply too big. It’s unusable. The side mount is too close to the guitar head – you can only use the end vertical mount with an iPhone 14 Pro Max.
