Beautiful, embittered Lili (Phoebe Cates) has clawed her way from porno princess to international film idol. She has money, fame, everything she wants — everything except revenge. Abandoned as a baby, Lili is determined to find, and destroy, her long-lost mother. She’s narrowed the candidate list down to three former boarding-school friends, all of whom have gone on to exciting and privileged lives. And one of whom is about to be very, very sorry she left little Lili all those years ago. A starry cast sweeps through two and a half decades of exquisite excess in this high-fashion, high-drama, utterly delicious emotional wallow based on Shirley Conran’s bestseller. Sharpen your claws.

Ah, the 80s…
I remember watching this mini-series when I was fifteen with my late mother. We really enjoyed it, and decades, I later found it on Amazon.A mini-series filled with castles, mansions, European nobles, Middle-Eastern royalty, great locations, and fantastic actors. I loved the 1980s: the fashion, the clothes, and, most of all, the hopes for a bright future which has all but evaporated now. The world was a nicer place in the 1980s, and shows like this–a bit campy but fun–made for great television.Political correctness has wrecked modern entertianment. Television now consists of tiresome and tedious lecturing. They don’t make mini-series like this anymore.

No complaints
The dvd arrived on time, packaged well, no damage, and brand new. There were 2 dvds in the case. They played fine in the DVD player. I love this miniseries and was super happy to finally be able to see it again after so many years.

Almost as good as the book
The book was the epitome of everything over the top in 80’s smut novels. The movie is almost as good. Not quite, but almost.

Love this Mini Series!!!!
I have been waiting for years for “Lace” to be released on DVD; hooray!!! This DVD set for the TV Mini-Series “Lace” is wonderful! Even though this DVD has not been digitally remastered the picture is very clear. The sound is also very clear with no distortion. I am really pleased that this version of “Lace” is complete with no editing. Every scene is complete and presented as I remember when this Mini-Series first aired in the 1980’s. If you are a fan of “Lace” I would strongly recommend purchasing this DVD set while it is available. Hopefully other TV Mini-Series will be released on DVD sets. I would love to see “Hollywood Wives” with Suzanne Somers and Stephanie Powers released in DVD form!

Je suis certaine que dans la description il était indiqué que le film était en français et en fait il est en anglais et même pas sous titré… Je ne l’ai pas renvoyé mais il ne me sert à rien

Utterly compelling viewing and excellent production.I saw this mini series on its premier release on UK TV in the 80s. Since then I had been looking for the professional print video. As Betamax and VHS were phased out I was wondering if it was ever transferred to dvd. And here it is, on WB Archive. It was stunning then as now, some 30+ years later.Presented on 2 discs, the screen ratio is of the original TV release, though my multi player doesn’t have that squarish adjustment, it played well, though perhaps a little grainy. The sound quality and editing is excellent. This is probably one of the most memorable mini series out of the mid-late 80s I have ever seen. The story is strong and well scripted. The acting from all is 1st class and characters are portrayed with depth, fortitude and well highlighted with unique querkiness, as expected, based on their backgrounds.Though the social perspectives of the day, show their age and ignorance towards “others”, it holds strong as an overall circumstancialy driven story.Phoebe Cates is stunning and viciously angry as the dejected child of a one night stand, by one of three young women, she is now grown up and seeking out her real mother. How her career didn’t grow into a full blown TV/cinematic star from the 2 Lace stories, I will never fully understand.Great moments from Angela Lansbury and a cameo from Anthony Quayle.Adding to this fabulous story is the unforgettable and beautiful music by Nick Becât. This really flavoured the story in all its dramatic glory and emotional facets; a soundtrack that has been missing from commercial release since then. However, it can now be obtained directly from the composer via his website: nickbecat.comLace is a standout production with its overall design, costumes, strong human story spanning several eras and music that rivals all of the other big budget series of the day.So glad I now have this long awaited gem.

Entre inmediata. Producto bien.
