The JENSEN CD-785 is a portable Bluetooth unit that doubles as a mini music system that’s ideal for your home or office. The home music system features a top-loading CD player, digital AM/FM stereo radio with station presets, a front-loading cassette player/recorder, and aux input for connecting all your other media devices. Wirelessly connect your Bluetooth-enabled device and stream music or any other audio content to the CD-785 from up to 33 ft. away. The front of the unit features easy-access controls, multifunction backlit LCD display, headphone output and aux-in jacks. Place the unit on a shelf or counter and use it as a mini music system or use the fold-away handle and take the CD-785 with you when you’re on the go. The speakers are also detachable, so you can position them for the best sound possible. The unit operates on 120-volt AC power or battery power (8 D batteries not included) and includes a remote.

This thing is everything I was hoping for.
So let me start of by saying I bought this stereo because of wanting to collect CDs again. I was born in the 90s so CDs were a crucial part of my childhood and there was just always something about listening to your favorite music this way. It truly makes me feel like a kid again to own this type of stereo. but even better than that, itâs not only got a cassette tape player too, but also equipped with standard AM/FM radio, Bluetooth and Auxiliary cable support.Pros:SoundThe sound is EXACTLY what I was wanting out of this thing. If I could explain what it sounds like to listen to music through speakers that sounds like youâre still in the early 2000s but with great quality thatâs exactly what this does for me.Very clean and crisp, and quite loud too.ColorThe color is nice. Very reminiscent of early 2000s to late 2000s stereos which was another intention of purchasing. The screen is nice and simple that adds to the nostalgia for me.Audio playback capabilityThe amount of audio playback capability you get is a huge plus. Iâm not sure if Iâll ever use the cassette player but Iâm super happy it has one. The am/fm radio is obviously nice too, and the fact that I have the option to use Bluetooth or Auxiliary is pretty sweet too. I should also mention itâs even got a headphone jack if you want to use headphones on that for some reason and the added remote to use the stereo while laying down in bed or anything is super convenient too.Portability and lightItâs definitely light weight and portable, with the ability to use batteries to power it for on the go usage. Comes with a standard cable for indoor power as expected. If you didnât realize already too, itâs got removable speakers for your positioning needs!Overall quality of the unitIt doesnât feel super cheap, and honestly if you can remember how stereos youâd buy at Walmart that were on the higher end spectrum this is exactly what it reminds me of. The buttons on the unit are pretty clicky and feel good for what itâs worth.Cons:Price pointFor just shy of 90 dollars, I think itâs ever so slightly high priced for what it is, but at the same time.. the investment is worth it because I couldnât really find any other unit of this caliber at any price point thatâs close to this one. They were all much higher so I guess it makes sense for what it includes.RemoteI think the remote could be ever so slightly better. Feels flimsy and itâs not the most responsive at times, but doesnât take away the general functionality and convenience it has.I think thatâs really all I have for the âconsâ if you can even call it that.10/10 would recommend this for anyone trying to re-live their past like I wanted to ð

Not a good product at all
Looked forward to receiving something to play cassettes on that are here in the house . Price seemed a bit much but decided to give it a chance . Tape player ate the first tape . I finally got it loose and figured maybe the tape was old so I had a few tapes that had never been opened thatâs what I consider fair well it ate that tape too after getting it loose I put a tape head cleaner in the next tape played half of the first song and started having a wobbly sound and it ate the tape . Plus the sound was like a childâs toy . For the price even though Jensen is a budget brand youâd expect at least a few months of service . I am returning this and will find a better brand this really was ridiculous

Nice sound but package missing items
Sound and all features great. But the package was missing the remote and the power cord. We carefully opened and inspected all items in the package. We decided to keep the item as is and have a compatible power cord. Disappointed that package arrived incomplete without a remote and power cord.

Great sound
I do not allow smoking in my house (I know shouldn’t smoke) so my husband and I set up a small area in the garage where we can smoke and often do cross word puzzles or some other word game. We ordered a small CD player and the first one we ordered was awful. It was hard to figure out which buttons to push and sound was poor. We then ordered the one shown and the sound is great! Its easy to operate and looks really nice. We both love it. Thank you.

Very nice stereo. it took me a couple of weeks to hook everything up i went back to read the directions now the jensen stereo is in working order. very nice color and size for my bedroom i have the unit on a smalltable.

Tuve que devolverla por 3 motivos importantes que me decepcionaron:1.- Nunca se comió las cintas (ese es buen punto) PERO obviamente me enviaron con defecto: La velocidad de la cassettera era inestable: algo rápida y a veces lenta al tocar cualquier cassette.2.-La música en la cassetera se escuchaba algo temblorosa.3.- Por el tamaño (50 cms de largo) y la marca imagine que tendrÃa buen sonido pero no fue asi :Un buen sonido no es igual a que solo tenga potencia,debe estar bien ecualizado en graves y agudos.Aunque tiene buenos graves aún sin el botón de Bass,al oprimirlo sà da más potencia,PERO no tiene nitidez en agudos,eso le hace falta por lo que se escuchaba como si cubriera las bocinas con una almohada o,como si grabaras música varias veces en un mismo cassette que no es re-grabable ¿me entiendes?â¦como un cassette re grabado de mala calidad y los cdâs también se escuchaban asÃ.No sé si los mismos modelos de este micro componente se escuchen asÃâ¦mal en cuestión al sonido y también pensé que las bocinas venÃan con defecto.Y si este micro componente suena asà de mal,entonces no vale lo que cuesta.Hay mejores boombox y micro componentes que este,de verdad pero,¿como encontrar el indicado? ya me resulta un fastidio.He devuelto 2 de otras marcas que se comÃeron las cintas y arruinaron 5 cassettes originales,fue algo que me molestó mucho y este Jensen con defecto en la cassettera que ya mencioné.

Bought unit as a replacement for an older radio/cassette/CD player. Out of the box, remote did not work (but I rarely use a remote, so didn’t bother me). Was able to get it working for 2 months, with reasonably good sound quality – however LCD display was dim. After 2.5 months, system started to malfunction, and LCD went dark. Unable to see what mode it is in, and therefore cannot use it. Checked user manual, and the 90 day warranty is ONLY good in the continental US. Emailed Spectra – they confirmed. Checked Amazon – return period had expired. If you are selling internationally, at least have the guts to back your product. Shame on Jensen and Spectra. Shame on Amazon for omitting that little, but key bit of information (the warranty), from their ad for the product. If you are considering buying this product (or any Jensen / Spectra product) and you are outside the continental US – look for something else. Mad in Canada.
