Your child’s first financial literacy book. This fun and concise book sparks curiosity in kids, encouraging them to explore more. Designed for ages 3-6, it does not include complicated topics like investments, currencies, digital payments, and cryptocurrency.
In this charming story, young readers will discover the basics of money: earning, spending, saving, and sharing. Charlie learns that money doesn’t fall from the sky; it has to be earned through hard work and smart choices. Children will explore different ways to earn money and understand the importance of good money habits. Charlie has three piggy banks: one for spending, one for sharing, and one for saving for future dreams like a bike or a robot dog.
With engaging illustrations and an easy-to-understand storyline, “What Is Money?” is the perfect introduction to financial literacy for young children. Additional fun facts and money tips at the back make it an excellent classroom resource, a teaching tool for curious kids, or a first finance book for aspiring entrepreneurs. It’s a must-have for parents and educators who want to teach kids about money management in a fun and relatable way.

Fun explanation of money
Many children do not understand much about money, working or spending. This book explains it in a straight forward way that anyone can understand (adults too!). It is a pleasant read with very cute illustrations, I am hoping it will inspire my grandchildren.

Laura Williams –
I recently purchased the book ‘What Is Money?’ for myself to better understand how to teach my 2.5-year-old daughter about personal finance. I am thoroughly impressed with the book’s simplicity and effectiveness in teaching young children about this topic. The easy-to-understand sentences on each page paired with the lovely illustrations make it an enjoyable read for both myself and my daughter (although she is not quite ready to fully understand the lessons yet). One aspect of the book that I particularly appreciate is the use of the 3 piggy banks to teach the value of spending, sharing, and saving. I am confident that my daughter will benefit from this lesson when she is ready to fully grasp it.Overall, I highly recommend ‘What Is Money?’ to any parent looking to introduce their young children to the concepts of personal finance. It’s a great resource for parents looking to instill good financial habits in their children at a young age.
