Great primer on web marketing for the serious professional
I was looking for a book that would help prepare me for a possible transition into a web-heavy marketing management position within my company. I’m tech-savvy but admittedly don’t have much experience in web marketing so I was looking for a resource to help get me familiar with some ideas for concepts, best-practices, and implementation. I scanned through the available options on Amazon and decided to go with this one since it seemed to be the most relevant. What a great choice!Things I liked:- Well written and easy to read, with a personal conversational style- High level strategies and suggestions on how to build your web presence from the ground up- Covers best practices for creating content around your customers, making landing pages to drive customer action, implementing effective email marketing, blogging tips, search engine optimization, social media usage (linkedin, twitter, facebook), video creation, and a lot more- Links to free templates to help guide your own implementation of the ideas described in the book- Tons of references to the (mostly free) resources out there that can help maximize the web as a marketing tool for your businessThis book is granular enough to fill the need that I was looking for, without holding my hand through the process. It sparked ideas and gave me enough “a-ha” moments to where I could start applying the guidance & philosophies into my own business requirements.Towards the end of the book they say that social media is the “icing on the cake, but you need the cake first.” I feel like this book is a good cake recipe, but you will be required to have your own ingredients for the cake.

My favorite part of the book is the layout
On April of this year I decided to no longer work for someone else and I went to work for myself. I was looking for resources and tools that could guide me on exactly what steps I needed to take in order to start marketing my business. This book provided me with a wealth of information. I am not ready to implement everything so it will be a book that remains on my desk as the year unfolds. My favorite part of the book is the layout, the Summary page to be specific. Nothing is worse than reading a book and then going back and tiring to remember where you read a certain part. The summary page, which is at the end of EVERY chapter, references the main points again and then there is a Tool and Resources below the summary that list all the websites addressed in the chapter so that you can quickly and easily get online and access the information. But, the thing that stands out most to me is the integrity these guys depict throughout the book. They give so much credit to all the people that have helped them along the way. They are honest about what has worked, as well as where they struggle.Adam even took some time out of his busy day to answer a few questions I had via Skype. I am a fan of both of this book and Bluewire Media.

This book will be sitting on my desk for years to come – Incredibly practical!
Web Marketing That Works offers cut through, jargon-free advice on how to market your business online. If you are a marketer, business owner, or someone aspiring to be one of those things (like me) you will find this book inherently useful.I have read countless books from the world’s greatest business thinkers, but this is hands down the most practical book I have ever read. It gets thrown around all too often, but I have already reserved a spot on my desk so I can refer back to it day after day.If you’re looking to read something that incorporates expert opinions with practical applications, this is it.Toby and Adam have a fantastic writing style, it was like the book was written just for me, and it was evident that they came from a contribution mindset. Not once did I feel like they were selling to me, or egotistical in any way (something all too present in many business books).I highly recommend this book.Disclaimer: I have absolutely no affiliation with the authors. I’m just a passionate reader that loves cut through advice. I read this book from start to finish, in one night. It inspired me, and I have no doubt it will inspire you if you love entrepreneurship and marketing.

An outstanding book for anyone involved in growing a business
Web Marketing that Works is an outstanding book for anyone involved in growing a business. I am totally impressed by the number of great ideas, templates, and practical advice it contains. I thought I knew a bit more than most people about web marketing, having used it in our business over the last couple of years, but after reading this book I realise I “didn’t know what I didn’t know”. I am excited to apply the lessons to our web marketing and expect to see our leads to grow as a result.

this book is nice but the language of it is more for the people working in the areawhat is weird is that the writers of the bookone of them does not have a page on twitter and the other have a page with only 1200 followerand even their company page (Bluewire Media) only with 3900 followers although they follow 3400so I am questioning their methods if it did not work on their pages how could it work on mine

Having very little or no experience in web marketing, I bought it under recommnedation from by brother. The book is eminently enjoyable and offers practical assistance at all steps through free templates. The chapters follow a sequence and I would suggest readers not to jump pages.Conceptually, I have became a stronger marketing professional .At the end you should be able to make your own web marketing strategy, such is the application content of the book.

One of the best online marketing books I have read. Very practical and relevant, easy to implement. I would recommend.

Adam, Thankyou for making this such an easy read. Attention , this principle is woven into the whole story. This resource is equivalent to a $800 Full Day workshop, in fact more. Adams really caring approach to doing business comes across in the style that this book is written. The meaningful use of language, moderate use of jargon and its accessibility makes it an asset that any marketer should have. It would make a really useful textbook. You have inspired me to put pen to paper! Customers, look no further…Grab both the kindle and a hard copy, they will both come in handy! Brilliant job.
