    Good product
We bought this particular model as it was an exact match to the small office phone system we have, and we needed to replace a bad one. Arrived promptly – easy to add to the system – couldn’t be more pleased.

An Excellent Phone Directory + Wireless Headset
I have purchased a few phones lately, looking for old RJ45 phone jack and a good phone directory that had to include a headset…This vTech Phone had Caller ID which when matched with the Phone Directory stored number, would display the name I saved. This was my Number One feature, that I was after, as I wanted to know which Customer was calling me.And as a side note, the better phones similar to this one – do not – which is un-believable for the money !But… This phone has a great phone Directory, including a search feature off the first 3x characters !Now that is a handy feature !It also has a 32 number quick dial feature, which I use constantly, and a half decent Answering Machine system, which I also when I am out of the office. The Headset Port, which is what I wanted, works exceptionally well when I am hearing the caller, but all of my Customers can not hear me loud enough, no mater what headset I plug in :(And I have purchased at least 6 of them from Amazon recently, all having the same quiet affect, so disappointment there !I did however end up purchase the vTech Wireless Headset that works well with this phone…And all My customers, when using it, can hear me exceptionally well !The only drawback using the wireless headset, is the fact that it is an external device, so the time length of the calls etc, do not register when I “transfer” to the headset, which I have to do every time I make a call.(Which is annoying, but what I must do so Customers can hear me)Other than that, the display is a dot matrix screen, at least 5x lines – very handy thatI use 2x incoming Lines, so this handles that more than OKAnd the Wireless connectivity works well with the headset ( tried it at 20 Meters / 66ft.)My only gripe to vTech, is why only have a phone directory with a Maximum of 100 stored numbers ?Every similar phone out there is all the same, but having say 999 numbers to store would be super !Especially being a Business Phone !

Setting up/registering “used” componets, ” phone out of range OR no power at CL or base” message, and the ‘hold” line issue
We bought the whole VTech office phone system- console, 2 base sets, handset phone and a headset as used equipment from Amazon’s warehouse deals. So far its a neat phone system with a lot of features for a great price. The only system design flaw I see is the “hold” line problem others have mentioned. If you pick up the receiver to call out and then decide to switch to another line, it put the original line on hold and does not hang it up while you use the other line. To avoid this, you have to learn to hang up the phone if you selected the wrong line to call out on, THEN select the other line you want to use and continue with your outgoing call.My other comment is for those that purchased used equipment and are doing the initial system set up. You first have to “unregistered” all of these orphaned “used” components before you can registered them to the main console desk phone you have.If you bought a “used” main console like I did, you first have to unregistered all of the devices connected to your main console so you can start fresh. Then, register (connect) your “cordless” desk phone set(s) to the main console desk phone as shown in the manual. If you bought a used cordless accessory handset phone, when you plug in the battery and set it on the charger base, you’ll probably see the screen say ” phone out of range OR no power at CL or base.” That means your handset phone is an “orphan” and still registered to another main console. You have to delete this prior registration before you can register it to your main console. Manual says zip on how to do this. You do it by picking the phone off the charger, enter *331734# (while you’re doing this, nothing is displayed on the phone screen) After pressing this sequence of keys, the phone beeps twice, reboots and then you’ll see the message saying it is ready to be register to your console. Follow the procedure n the manual to connect/register the handset phone to the main console. If you have an orphan headset, you need to first unregistered it. I called VTech’s customer service and got the procedure. First put the headset on the charger base- the light on the disconnect button should be a solid blue. Then in a fast manner, push the volume control to the + side, release it and push the disconnect button on the side of microphone arm, push the volume control to the – side, release it and push the disconnect button, push the volume control to the + side and then to the – side, release it and push the disconnect button. If done in a quick enough manner, you should see the light now change from a solid blue to an alternating red and blue meaning the headset is un-registered. Follow the directions in the manual for registering to your main desk set.I gave 4 instead of 5 stars due to this “hold” line operating issue and for having no procedures or where to go for programing orphan equipment in their “trouble shooting” section. Their technical customer service was great when I called then for help. Aside from these quirks, the phone system is great and I am hoping it will last like the other VTech phones we’ve owned.

Great inexpensive replacement for a PBX with all the same functionality
20 year old Avaya inhouse PBX system went down with a power issue. This VTech system was cheaper than a sales call and repair to the existing PBX system. We still have all of the same functionality as the old PBX. No problems setting up the base station with 3 of the desksets. The range on this system was greater than the usual home phone DECT 6.0 handsets. The signal is carrying through concrete and steel floors that formerly blocked those signals. Thanks to other reviews on Amazon, we were able to set up call privacy and turn off call screening too. We don’t use the auto attendant yet but if you do, it allows the caller to have the option of choosing an extension.Any shortcomings were very minor: – You have to go into call history to clear the “missed calls” counter. It’s only two button presses. – The voicemail only displays the name of the caller, not the phone number. You have to go into call history for that, if needed. – Auto-attendant requires hitting the extension number and then “#”. A single button press would have been nice.Things we really liked: – It replaces a PBX for a few hundred bucks. – Doesn’t require a charge/month/extension that a PBX service does. – Better range than regular DECT 6.0 handsets. – No problems with clarity through ear piece or speaker. – Can have call privacy (no snoopers dropping in on your calls) – Can either have incoming calls go to all phones or use auto attendant to direct callers to extensions.

todo perfecto salvo que no tiene bloqueo de llamadas no deseadas… por ejemplo, los números de bancos o promociones, no se pueden agregar a alguna lista de bloqueo.

There is much to unpack here, given the back-and-forth insisting on a better star rating. I hope that they will continue to strive to work towards a mutually positive resolution for all parties. There are too many threatening legal e-mails regarding their reputation.Hoping that they will continue to strive to work towards a mutual positive resolution, for all parties.

Buen complemento al conmutador Vtech. Unicamente funciona con el modelo CM18445 como extensión. puedes usar hasta 9 dispositivos conectados al mismo Conmutador con gran calidad de audio y facilidad de configuracion. No necesitas cablear nada. Todo es inalámbrico.NO funciona sin el conmutador

It was time to change out my phones and picked up this 4-Line VTech small business phone. In terms of construction it is very well built. The button touch is a littler firmer than I like but still good. The phone has so many settings and functions that I would recommend reading the operating manual and keeping the manual close by at least for the first month.Calls are clear and I have had no complaints regarding the speakerphone which people almost always comment on if the phone sounds ‘hollow’ or ‘tinny’.I did buy one extension that I can carry around with me and it tied into the main unit without issue. All in all and very good product for a small business.
