A Step Up From Windows Movie Maker!
I was devastated that windows movie maker is not available anymore. I bought several other editing programs (cyber link, sony vegas movie studio, filmora, and a couple others, they were all nearly impossible to learn as quickly as I was anticipating… Even after watching youtube videos which offers tips and tricks and teaches you the ins and outs I was still struggling to feel comfortable and confident using these very expensive softwares. Finally I found video pad and I fell in love, it has much more to offer than windows movie maker and I can navigate through the program quickly and easily. YES you still have to take the time out to learn it! Nothing out there is as easy as WMM but this is as straight forward and easy to learn as its going to get in my own opinion. It could also just be that I am/ was overwhelmed and didn’t have the length of time it would take to learn other programs but either way I am in LOVE with videopad! Thanks videopad for not making it a complicated headache just to edit some family vlog footage lol 🙂

This video editing software isn’t horrible but does have way too many ads in the app that make it hard to work with the app. Like how do they expect us to edit a video when there’s banners and ads popping up over the certain buttons I need to click. I downloaded it, attempted to use it, and immediately deleted it and just bought the Adobe Premiere Pro. Easy Movie Maker is a better program to download for Free. Less ads and super simple.

I picked this up for video editing. It’s a good beginner editor. There are many tutorials and videos on youtube to show you have to use the features.I ended up purchasing the license to unlock some features.

It took me a little while to figure out how to use it, but wow, for free it’s really nice! I don’t have the patience for the help sections, I just keep working with the software until I figure it out. However, the help is pretty good. Like I said, I don’t want to do anything fancy. I just want to add effects between pictures in a sequence as they call it, or movies. Add titles and text at the beginning and end of movies and picture series, or sequences as they say. Hey, for free – get it. Better than any free photo editing software I could find in the Microsoft store – that stuff was all junk. I would buy the paid version of this software, but the free version works great for me. What the heck, give it a try, after all – it’s free, at least to Prime Members. UPDATE: what I didn’t see or realize is that after a few weeks, all the good features expire and you can no longer use them unless you buy the paid version. Another teaser scam, I should have known better!!!

Its worth more than Free, Glad I tried it. Made my first video short quick.
I never worked with video production before. I was a little intimidated at first but the in program guide walked me through putting my project together. I think if you have worked with photo editing software you would find it easy to work with.The program loads in a snap and handled the video I downloaded from my friends Facebook post then I added music that I created on a different free program lined it up and and snap I had a 25 sec commercial. It took and hour because I had to edit and re edit the audio in another program to get it to fit the video. I am looking forward to trying out its text effects.I was confused about what size parameters to save the file in, but the internet was helpful.

This is not free
The description indicates that if you use it for home use and not commercial, it is free which is not true. You can edit but to be able to download/upload/send your video to your friends and family you have to buy it. So, what is the point if you can send it somewhere-even your own computer. I was very disappointed. The description should say that at the very top. I will be deleting it today and would not recommend to anyone.

To clunky to try using. I think I spent a few minutes on it before I gave up trying.It’s worth spending a little money to get even something basic that is useable.You need software that has an accurate timeline that you can EASILY drag and drop video clips on, can edit the clips and move the sequence of clips around on the timeline. Other features are a bonus.This software doesn’t even achieve the basics.

Easy to use and overall good software what made me give it 3 stars was you need to purchase a licence before you can save the project in a format you want e.g. MP4. This was not mentioned and I look back at amazons ad and still cannot find any reference to this. So down load this as a free trial and if you like it you can get the licence.
