Good = Software / Bad = Auto Renewal
Just a heads up Trend Micro as well as most other AV companies will auto-renew your subscription. I’ve been using Trend Micro since 2010 for my home computers and have been happy with the software as it doesn’t slow my machine down, has a setting to block encrypting folders you specify and so far has stopped threats. It has some annoying popups about monthly reports and wanting you to install their browser plug in and password safe but I can live with those. A couple years ago they took away the feature to disable “auto renew” in their customer portal. So now you have to email their support and request to terminate your subscription if you don’t want it to auto renew. This is important because your 2nd year subscription could be double or triple your initial 1st year subscription. So if you find a great deal on Black Friday, 10 device licenses for $39.00, your auto renewal come year 2 could be $129.00. Read the fine print before you buy!! I posted a similar review on their webpage.. they removed it within 1 hour 🙂

I fully love this product . been using this antivirus soft ware for a long time . been to every kind of virus and porn site you can think of . and was fully protected from malware and virus fully . so when you can be like me and try to run a tank over this software . and flip the tank its self over on it,s top . you know it is good anti virus soft ware . unlike all the other name brands out their today like Norton mccaff and avast al them failed me this product did NOT fail me at all . and will be back when the newest version comes out next year to by again

Thought I was getting an internet security program and got nothing.
I purchased this product and downloaded it. However, after I installed it, I could not use the serial number the seller provided. The Trend Micro said that the serial number had been used on a number of computers and that if I wanted to use it, I would have to pay for another registration key.

CD is NOT included in the box, just the serial number. Download only
The antivirus software is very good, BUT the installation has to be downloaded because they don’t include CDs anymore. If I knew that I would of just purchased it as the downloadable. When you purchase in the box, all you get is a big box and the license serial number with instruction and the reason they don’t include CDs anymore. They are trying to help the environment. You have to contact them if you want the CD.

Great Protection
I’ve used TREND for several years and have never had a problem. It is worth the money “IF” you buy it on Amazon. Buying from the company is MUCH MORE expensive. I would highly recommend it though.

first time I’ve ever purchased the download version, and it did not work as smoothly as the CD version. With the CD version, there has never been a problem with the software uninstalling the previous version, then installing the new. with this one however, the uninstall of the previous version did not work. I had to get the instructions for manually uninstalling, then downloading the necessary tools to do so.
