So Easy and Effective
My first impression was how to use it with only 2 buttons, but after it turns on, you simply set it down with the desired time facing up. And turn it on another side and it immediately starts timing.Too easy to use. And the customer service extended my warranty and sent a message right after buying to introduce the product more personally. Can’t say enough and I definitely recommend this.

One of my favorite timers
I have a puck style option but was in the market for something refined. This one stood out having preset intervals. Love challenging myself to complete a task in a time frame or the time to relax.

Nifty, but could use design improvements
As others have mentioned, it would make more sense if the numbers were printed the opposite way so that they’re not upside down when you’re looking at it; in this instance 25 looks like 52. It also bugs me that the timer numbers don’t rotate so that they’re upright for every countdown. For instance, 25, my most common time to use is diagonal.Other than that it’s easy to use and I like that the volume can be adjusted. I’m not sure I’ll keep it though because the design flaws are just enough to annoy me each time I look at it.

Awesome Pomodoro Timer
Looks really cool, quality and sturdy build, and works perfectly. I have had it for years and this is the last Pomodoro timer you’ll ever need. It’s a great method for focusing during set periods and building the mental muscle of concentration.

So close and yet so far! My search for pomodoro clock continues…
Ah man – this was so close, but yet so far!Okay so the positives:Compact Design: The small and compact design of the TickTime Pomodoro Timer perfectly suits my needs. Its unobtrusive presence on my workspace allows for easy integration without taking up much space.Magnetic Flip Focus Timer: The innovative magnetic flip focus timer is a standout feature. It provides a simple and intuitive way to select different intervals, adding a level of customization that enhances my productivity. So – why so far? The Deal Breaker:Pause and Resume Functionality: Unfortunately, the absence of a pause and resume function has proven to be a significant drawback. In the midst of a busy work environment with numerous potential distractions, the inability to pause the timer and later resume where I left off is a deal breaker. Instead, I’m forced to start a new timer, disrupting the flow of my Pomodoro sessions. This limitation significantly impacts the adaptability of the TickTime Pomodoro Timer to real-world work scenarios where interruptions are inevitable. In summary, while the TickTime Pomodoro Timer offers a compact design and an innovative magnetic flip focus timer, the absence of a pause and resume function may hinder its effectiveness, especially for users with dynamic work environments requiring flexibility in managing their Pomodoro sessions.

No more sitting for long
I got this for the office to tell me when I’ve been sitting too long. I love it. Can just flip the time and go.Con: not sure why so expensive for a simple thing.

Tiny display, horrible alarm sound, high price, and smooth ABS surface that’s a fingerprint magnet
If you constantly change between time setting on your Pomodoro timer and find the effort required to do so annoying, you might find this timer fits the bill. But if cost, reasonably pleasant alarm sound, legibility of display, or portability are important to you, I’d look elsewhere. This timer looks really cool in the product photos, but I didn’t find it as cool in actual use. I’ve gone back to using my old timer, a Yunbaoit study timer, which isn’t as cool looking but works better in all respects and is about half the price. This is a decent (though expensive) Pomodoro timer if–you only use study intervals of 3, 5, 10, 15, 25 and 30 minutes–you change frequently between these time intervals and don’t want to have to reset your timer, and–you want a loud alarm but don’t frequently need a highly-visible display to check the remaining time before the alarm sounds. If you frequently check the time before the alarm sounds, I think you’ll find that the very small (5mm or 0.2″ numbers) and rather dim display that shows the numbers at an angle (unless set to 3 or 30 minutes) takes more of an effort to read than most timers. This can be an issue for me because I find that the additional effort further breaks my concentration while studying. I intensely disliked the loud, jarring sound, which (even at the softest setting) was exactly like the alarm on a Kidde smoke detector. The timer has a few other less serious limitations. The 1.9″ x 1.8″ x 1.7″ size makes it less convenient to transport in a bag or pocket than a flat timer. The flashing alarm, which just lights up the numbers, isn’t especially noticeable, so you’re effectively stuck with the loud audible alarm. The glossy ABS plastic, at least on the silver-colored model, is an absolute fingerprint magnet, looks gross pretty quickly, and requires water and effort to clean. My fingers produce relatively little oil and I don’t have this problem with other things–I can go for weeks without having to clean my iPad display. The construction quality is OK but it’s plastic (and feels like plastic) rather than metal. The controls are reasonably straightforward but changing the time (other than between the presets) is easier on other timers I’ve used. I don’t think the black face is particularly attractive when the alarm is off due to the triangular shape of the buttons and the USB-C port being on the front rather than on the rear. It looks nicer when on, but all of the items on the display (besides the numbers) are a bit confusing. And, for some reason, the numbers on the sides face towards the back, which makes them upside down when you’re looking at the timer from the front. Why all the good ratings when I am rating this a one star? I read a few of the five-star ratings and noticed two things. First, most have never used a Pomodoro timer before and thought this was much better than using a watch or some timing device. So it was the idea of a Pomodoro timer that they liked but they weren’t in a position to compare this timer to other Pomodoro timers on the market. Second, most of the high ratings come with very short reviews that aren’t very detailed. Compare that to the one-star reviews, most of which are very detailed. Before I buy a product I always check the one-star reviews. If they are silly–like complaints about packaging or delivery–or are by a customer who’s disappointed that the product doesn’t meet his or her very specific, unusual requirements, I just ignore them. But when the one-star reviews are very detailed and convincing, I usually pass on the item. I didn’t follow my own advice in this case and regret the purchase.

This might be a knockoff product. If you go to the actual Ticktime site they’re showing micro USB charging. Same thing if you look up review videos on YouTube. It’s honestly an upgrade so I’m not complaining but thought it was worth noting. The timer itself functions well aside from the lack of pause functionality. I watched a review video where the reviewer stated that it would pause and then resume the time. I didn’t even notice that he didn’t show it resuming the time and just assumed he was telling the truth. Apparently, this is not the case. It will pause the timer if you turn it up but it does not resume the time when you put it back down, it resets from the beginning. Kind of annoying if you sometimes get interrupted by packages coming to the door for example. I spoke with the seller about it and they did mention it would be a future update so maybe it’s something that will be available in the future…
