Text is faithful to the original and the illustrations are beautiful.
This 19th c. poem is classic in true sense; it captures the imagination of children across generations. My college age children still want me to read it on Xmas Eve, only to take over the reading themselves. Parents will need to explain the archaic vocabulary e.g. “tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.” This edition is delightful. So full of color, so vivid children will want to linger on each page digesting the details.

My late husband played Santa for my grandchildren when they were little. He did a great job and was so believable. I bought this book for my coming great granddaughter because of the illustrations. I think they will add to the magic of Christmas for her in a few years.

A Timeless Christmas Classic
This is my all time favorite classic Christmas poem that I had to have. Iâve memorized almost the entire poem. The illustrations are amazing & beautiful. In the center of the book is a large beautiful four page foldout. You will not be disappointed when purchasing this book. I not only read this at Christmas, I read it throughout the year.
