Great reference book
I really liked this. Gave me some great ideas that I put into action in my direct mail campaigns. Good to have on the desk to refer to when reviewing your marketing efforts.

The Final Chapter “Now What?” Is to call them direct.
This book no doubt has tons of information. The program isn’t cheap, and you are paying all of these resources for ads. Mailers, Magazines, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon. Not cheap to implement, but true to their advice, they suggest you call them to learn more about their company. I feel like I just purchased their advertisement. So, if all of this is too complicated, you can hire them.

No tips, tricks, or education
If you look at the cover, you have learned all this book will teach you.Mr Huey claims to have 40 years experience, but writes like a middle schooler.-The font size is huge.-He reuses the same sentences 5+ times per page.- He uses a lot of key words/phrases with out every defining them.-He never mentions how to optimize or do anything effectivelyIt feels like he just did his first marketing job with “Independent living” havinh a full team giving him years of data & analytics. All of his advice is “use all the great analytics”. I do not get a sense that he knows how to generate leads at all.It mentions several forms of advertising, but not how to use them effectively or how to get the best return per dollar spent.Very lazy cash grab book. Very poorly executed. This is the only book I have ever returned. I usually can get something out of any book I read, but this gave me nothing.

Good for marketing teams!
I thought this book did a really great job at giving you an overview idea of different marketing tactics. I will likely purchase some additional copies for my team members. This would also be a great first step to training new team members. I especially like the section on amazon advertising. I would have liked to have seen more info on video .

Excellent Marketing Roadmap
Huey is a marketing maestro. While so many get overly enamored of new social media and database tools, Huey recognizes them and uses them for what they are â simply valuable new tools. The time-tested, proven and irrefutable truths of marketing (and of human nature and desire) â when wedded to these new tools â as Huey shows you how to do â are dynamite. If youâre in marketing/advertising, donât deny yourself the advantages of this book â and of the authorâs years of proven success in the marketplace.

Poorly written with an outdated perspective
Within 10 pages, I realized the mistake I had made in purchasing this book. Several arbitrary remarks and claims are made without bothering to reference or cite any sources. The book is poorly written and formatted and despite being only 4 years old, it is incredibly out of touch with modern marketing tactics.
