From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Hotel Nantucket: After tragedy strikes, food blogger Hollis Shaw gathers four friends from different stages in her life to spend an unforgettable weekend on Nantucket.
Hollis Shaw’s life seems picture-perfect. She’s the creator of the popular food blog Hungry with Hollis and is married to Matthew, a dreamy heart surgeon. But after she and Matthew get into a heated argument one snowy morning, he leaves for the airport and is killed in a car accident. The cracks in Hollis’s perfect life—her strained marriage and her complicated relationship with her daughter, Caroline—grow deeper.
So when Hollis hears about something called a “Five-Star Weekend”—one woman organizes a trip for her best friend from each phase of her life: her teenage years, her twenties, her thirties, and midlife—she decides to host her own Five-Star Weekend on Nantucket. But the weekend doesn’t turn out to be a joyful Hallmark movie.
The husband of Hollis’s childhood friend Tatum arranges for Hollis’s first love, Jack Finigan, to spend time with them, stirring up old feelings. Meanwhile, Tatum is forced to play nice with abrasive and elitist Dru-Ann, Hollis’s best friend from UNC Chapel Hill. Dru-Ann’s career as a prominent Chicago sports agent is on the line after her comments about a client’s mental health issues are misconstrued online. Brooke, Hollis’s friend from their thirties, has just discovered that her husband is having an inappropriate relationship with a woman at work. Again! And then there’s Gigi, a stranger to everyone (including Hollis) who reached out to Hollis through her blog. Gigi embodies an unusual grace and, as it happens, has many secrets.
The Five-Star Weekend is a surprising and captivating story about friendship, love, and self-discovery set on Nantucket. It will be a weekend like no other.

Great characters.
Elin Hilderbrand does it again! Light reading but fun with enough intrigue to hold my interest and love the all the descriptions of Nantucket Island. I typically read heavier, more serious novels so it’s a nice break to spend a “weekend” on Nantucket.

Wish there was a 4 1/2 star rating
This was my favorite of the Elin Hilderbrand books I have read – such a variety of interesting characters, a story that build throughout and has some interesting well written side stories that all contribute. Not quite a 5 star for me, but I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars. A wonderful summer read!

Great summer read
I liked the development of charaters and how the story unfolds. It has fun twists, moments of empathy, and was a great escape from every day life.

The truth about relationships!
Definitely a page turner and an excellent read for women to help them more fully understand the complexities of adult communication between women. Elin Hildebrand has always fulfilled my need for books that flow with detailed character development. A book without character development is an empty book without soul. Elin Hildebrand unfolds her stories with heart and sincerity throughout. Thank you for another heartfelt book sharing the adventures of life!

Great read!
The friendships that the main character had with each lady except one. It was refreshing the different backgrounds of each of the women. The common denominator that they loved the main character. Even as grown women they still find the need to impress and show who is the favorite. The main character wanting to be loved again by her daughter. Needing the approval from her grown child. I can relate to that part. The mystery guest and what she turns out to be and represent to the main character. The main character has a heart of gold and is a true lady despite being pushed to her limit. It’s shocking to still have some women being bullies at this age. Not being encouraging to one other. Kicking people when there down. The social status still being what leads instead of a person’s heart and having a great spirit. I loved the book well written as always!

Feel good story, with just the right amount of drama
A breezy read about a newly widowed food celebrity Hollis Shaw hosting a 5 star weekend with friends from every stage of her life. It takes us into the journey of the drama in each personâs life and also the dynamics between this crew that has just assembled together.

First Time Reading Elin Hilderbrand
Oh Lord! What a great book! Reading it felt as good as eating all the delicious food therein. Recipes would have been nice, though ð¤£It was easy to like and care about the characters.A perfect summer read. Now Iâll have to read everything else by EH.PS: I was in the path of TS Debby so this really kept me entertained instead of worrying about flooding. Maybe the next one Iâll get to read in the sunshine on the beach.

Iâve loved EH from the day her first book was published but this one is pure gold. Read it and enjoy the brilliance of her character development and a plot that deepens with every page. This one is pure reading joy â¦

The print of the book is pathetic. I have another book from the same writer that was bought from the US and it was so much better. Canât believe I wasted 700 rupees on this.
