Great overview of the ATM business from an investing perspective
This is a great starting point if you are considering getting involved in the ATM business. The author makes it short and sweet with no extra fluff or gimmicks. The book is a very easy read and the author is very real about how you can make money by investing in ATMs as well as the risks and your responsibilities. You’ll get a good idea of what this type of investment looks like to see if it’s right for you and your goals. Do not get started in the ATM business without reading this book first.

    Very useful
I just three books on the ATM business I bought here on Amazon. This was the best of the three. It covers everything the others did and more with better useful details.

Good introductory book about the business.
Good introduction to the business. Doesn’t get overwhelmingly complex, which is good for people who are starting from scratch. Gives enough info to allow the readers to understand the process well enough to ask more pointed and specific questions.

    Detailed and informative
I like to read every book on a topic to find anything that will help me increase profits and efficiency. However, this a a great baseline knowledge book. It covers everything you need to hit the ground running to success.

    Great Info
Other books about the ATM business don’t really go into depth. The Author goes into a lot of the workings of the business. After reading this I have a good understanding of how this business works and I’m confident that I can start small in my spare time using some savings that isn’t really making anything in the bank. I know one or two local places I think would be great for a machine and will see where this goes. A few extra hundred a month in passive income looks to be in reach.

    Helpful book
I was thinking about going into this business. This book actually sold me on NOT doing it. I would suggest if your thinking about the atm business you buy this book. It has helpful information. And maybe you decide it’s the business for you. For me, I’m thankful I got to understand it a little more.

    Strictly A Beginner’s Guide
Meh. While I guess this is a good “starting point” for anyone interested in the ATM business, providing a solid “basic” understanding of the industry, I found it to be mostly unhelpful for someone that is looking for the intricacies and seemingly “secret” aspects of the backend business in the ATM industry. Case in point, while the author does cover interchange (which for some reason seems to be this big, never discussed, secret in the industry), he never gives any advice on how to deal with processors to maximize your interchange revenue, either by negotiation, or by how to shop around to find the best rate you could expect to receive, and more importantly, WHAT that rate might be that you could expect to receive. Describing some negotiation tips, or at least giving an idea of what you should expect to receive based on your ATM volume would have been nice to empower the reader when they are looking to enter into an agreement with a processor. But, I guess that would be counter-productive for him since he is obviously ONE of those processors (ATMdepot.com) who doesn’t want to empower the person he would be negotiating with. While on that avenue, as the “1-star” reviewer stated, the book, whether intended or not, did come off somewhat as a long pitch for ATMdepot.com (not to mention the quite frequent redundancies throughout the book). At the beginning the author touts that there will be scripts for approaching store owners and other information that “will be discussed later” only to find out that the last four pages or so is where a lot of pertinent information is contained: in the “Members Section” at ATMdepot.com. Guess what? You have to pay for access to that knowledge. Again coming back around to a long pitch for ATMdepot.com. If you’re going to write a book, and people are going to pay for it, shouldn’t this information already be contained in the book instead of having to head off to a website where you have to pay to gain access to this information? Just saying. On that point, I feel cheated for spending the money on this book.I don’t mean to totally trash this book. It does have a good basis for someone without any knowledge of the ATM business. I’ve been a vaulter for four years, and am looking to branch out on my own by acquiring a few machines in my area, and growing from there. So I have a bit more knowledge of the ATM business than someone just getting started. I guess for me, I just didn’t find much useful information that I already didn’t know. I was hoping for more in-depth insights into the business that seems to be so elusive when trying to research this industry (interchange, surcharge split rate averages, etc.) on your own through the information that is available online.
