Surprisingly inspiring….
All I know of this incredible human, Jessica Simpson is from seeing her as my teenaged daughter’s pop star fave, and then her acting chops on a “That 70’s show” rerun recently. I am aware of her shoe line from my own “fave” shoe store ads. I am from North Louisiana and totally get her “bible thumping” quotes, as we have more churches than home here. But I must say, as many “star memoirs” as I find myself reading these days for entertainment, Ms. Simpson’s are the first to resonate with me. Human to human, and it’s so refreshing. Her literary works are like having a heart to heart with your best bud, who has “been there and done that.” And wants you to be the very best and happiest you can in this life. Kudos!

God works all things together for good – I know this truth to be self evident. And yet, sometimes, even when we know this, it still does not always seem to comport with every-day existence. *Working through trauma and facing ourselves is some of the most important work we can do as individuals. *It can free you. We have all been dealt different hands and have made varying choices in this life, but this is one universal truth Jessica exemplifies beautifully.

Good pep talk about letting go of our fears that are holding us back. I liked how she put her own fears into the essay. She was someone facing a long standing fear. She is both encouraging and vulnerable with what she writes. I wish she had been more in depth on some parts.

Great Essay
I have always been a fan of Jessica Simpson. Sheâs very down to earth and real!!! My first born child/daughter was born on the exact day and year as Jessica and I thought that was very ironic. My daughter and I love her music, her reality show she had with Nick and her books. This essay just confirmed how down to earth and honest Jessica is and how she I stills that in her gorgeous children. I loved it!!!!

I donât know what made me click on this when it popped up on my Kindle front page. Mostly, I think, I was curious to know if it was the girl I once watched on a very early reality show when she had just got married? I still donât really know if it was the same girl.Itâs very short, just 22 pages long, but itâs deep and itâs meaningful and itâs thought provoking and itâs quite relevant to me right now. Not because Iâm a young mother like her (and she sounds like an awesome mother by the way) but because Iâm contemplating change at the moment, maybe a lot of us are after this awful pandemic, where weâve had time to look inwards and seen something that weâd like to change.The message that this essay gives is summed up in Jessicaâs daughterâs words, âYou can do itâ and I for one feel inspired by reading it. Well done Jessica and well done to her little daughters (and no doubt her son) who already know, âthey can do it!â
