Stay up all night with this funny, surprising romantic comedy from Audie Award nominee Cara Bastone – scripted exclusively for audio!

It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on.

I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine.

It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

And then somehow we keep talking…ALL NIGHT. We’re both insomniacs, so talking all night soon turns into talking EVERY night. And talking about nothing soon turns into talking about something. And here we go from in-depth analysis of reality TV to my relationship with my family, to his amazing artwork. There’s no topic we don’t cover….

Except for who I really am.

It’s the only question of his I won’t answer.

As my crush turns into an avalanche of Eliot, I think of him all the time now. But if he knew who I was, the entire house of cards we’ve built this relationship on would come toppling down.

I want him to be mine, but we might never be more than just a sweet dream….

    Light and Entertaining
Cara is an excellent writer. I enjoyed it because the story could actually be true. No crime. Nothing too serious. Just plain fun to read her books. Thank you and please write more.

    Sweet Romance
This story was very cute! I enjoyed the characters and the story plot, and how Cara Bastone ties in some of the previous book from Eliot’s point of view. The only reason I’m giving this book four stars is because I felt like in an effort to make Jessie’s character strong, she somehow needed to be portrayed as stronger than Eliot, and like his protector. For me it just came across as emasculating Eliot’s character too much, and not enough balance between them. Besides that, this was a very cute read.

    Misdials and cinnamon rolls
A late night text to a wrong number leads Eliot Hoffman to the least expected woman of his life. Fear, guilt and insomnia are the driving forces into the beginning of a relationship that would never have happened if he hadn’t misdialed. One of the things I’ve loved most of the Love Lines series is the men, all of them true cinnamon rolls, perfect specimens with the most endearing flaws. Their counterparts are gung ho females that still need their brand of nurturing to match them all perfectly and Jessie is not the exception to the rule. Falling in love is never sweeter than when her tough outside is met by his gooey center and I loved every minute of it.This was another exceptional audio performance that gives a very cute story a wonderful power boost.5 stars

    cute story, great characters
This was a really cute romance. I loved the characters and that they were a little bit different than what you often find in romance. I appreciate that the thing keeping the two love interests apart was believable (instead of a tropey misunderstanding that could have been fixed with a two second conversation ha ha). The only reason I didn’t rate it 5 stars is because of the multiple misuses of the word “literally”. That drives me nuts. And if the author doesn’t know how to correctly use the word (so few people use it right these days) then the editor should have said something. But story wise and character wise I loved it.

    Absolutely Fun and Delicious!
This was really a fun read! I truly enjoyed this book and finished it in 2 days!I think Cara Bastone really writes very realistic dialogue in the vernacular of modern life. This is her third book I have read and I am about to read everything else that she’s written!

    Love this amazing book!
I read this book while I listened to the audible version. The narrators were absolutely fantastic…especially Eliot’s sexy and romantic, yet sweet and gentle voice. This book is such a great read…the storyline is unique….I just loved it and highly recommend it!

    Sweet characters, sweet story.
Eliot dials Jess, thinking he’s calling his sister. Jess knows who Eliot is, but doesn’t want him to know who she is, for reasons we find out near the end of the book. The audio is great. The characters are playful. I was really rooting for them to work it out!

    I loved these two!
I loved these two! There’s something about seeing the soft side of a badass that never fails to delight me, and that’s exactly what I got with Jessie. She really had a lot on her plate, and I loved that a wrong number turned out to give her something she didn’t realize she needed. Eliot, my dear sweet cinnamon roll. He was the best kind of nerdy, and his grand gesture was top notch. The story shines the most during the phone exchanges between Eliot and “JD” which were amusing and witty and sweet too. Overall, I greatly enjoyed getting to see Eliot and Jessie get their HEA.

Describing Eliot as a puppy or a kid in a man’s body is the most accurate description they could have provided. I’m in love with Eliot. Dude has no qualms about being his authentic self except once he finds out who Jessie is and I love it. He literally calls her to ask her what products to buy to give himself a pedicure and hopes she will walk him through it. Then ditches the pedicure so he can dance on opposite sides of the club while on the phone. He is just a sweet baby angel and he deserves Jessie’s bathtub bubble gum crush side as well as her badassery. 😍But come on Cara Bastone, you couldn’t even give us a kiss until the epilogue!? Ugh the devastation!

I loved this book. I loved Jessie and Elliot and their interactions. They are just well rounded characters who make human decisions, I wish the story was longer because I just want to get to know them more!I also loved the additional sound effects, the message notifications, ring tones, background noises on the phone calls it just elevated the story and made it so much more immersive.
