Social Media Bible!
This book is an absolute must for anyone using social media for marketing! It includes basic principles for those brand new to social media as well as a number of helpful strategies to understand your market and competitors to be more successful. By purchasing the book, you also receive codes to quite a few helpful online resources that compliment the book. It was well worth the money! I also purchased his book related to SEO.

Comprehensive and Not boring!
Wow. Just wow. This book is comprehensive! I have a small online business and I needed to read this book. Funnily, I didn’t actually want to because I despise social media and hate that I have to be a part of it to be successful with my business in this world. Plus, I’ve taken a couple courses here and there and it’s always so boring. This book though, well, the author has a sense of humor which is thoroughly appreciated and makes the book so much easier to read.Do yourself a favor, also, and download the PDF version! It has clickable links, worksheets, and so much more than just the kindle version. The interactiveness of it also makes the whole experience engaging. Not quite fun, but definitly not as dry and boring as I anticipated. There is a link to register the book and when you do, then you can download a ton of more resources than just what the book has. Totally worth it.The book starts out with an extensive explanation of what social media is, how it works, and the various ways to interact. In fact, this book is great for folks who don’t have experience with the different social media channels as it takes you through all the steps of setting up your sites and managing the settings. I kinda thought I knew all about social media since I’ve been using it for so long, however, Jason had some ways of looking at it that opened my eyes to new ways of interacting. The only thing that was missing for me was which channels work best and which ones I should use more. The book does a great job of explaining everything, however, with so many options it’s easy to throw money away trying them all (like all the promotional options with facebook) and not getting much in return. I would have liked to hear which facebook promo option is best and why.

If you know nothing about using social media for your business, this is the book to read
I myself do not know much about using social media to market a business. This book covers step-by-step instructions on how to set up a page, contents, tying different social media accounts together, search engine optimization, keywords, how to find your reviews, etc. The nice thing about the book is that many of the steps, is that in most all of them the steps are relatively the same, just a slightly different platform.Now I put a simple step to the test. I have been an Avon Rep for years, I have a website but I haven’t done much with it until recently. So I decided to create a post that was engaging, asking them to also look at my website to just few the products and asking them to like and share my Facebook post. Then I went to my Instagram page and did the same thing only I tied my Instagram page to my Facebook page. It worked. So now when I post on Instagram it also posts it to my Facebook page.The book explains how to determine content and to make it more engaging that out right asking them to purchase your product or services. It also explains the differences between the major social media platforms. YouTube is a little different in that it mainly is about posting videos, Pinterest the smaller of the group is geared more to women and DIY. Now Facebook and Instagram can do all of those things and more, as were LinkedIn is more about setting up your business profile to network with other businesses and/or finding applicants to fill jobs.All-in-all it is a great book for beginners or technology challenged people who want to use it to promote there business. I will say that, I did not read anywhere in the book on how to make money using these social media platforms, other than the obvious use of keeping your business in front of your family, friends, current and/or potentially new customers. The book is packed with information and instructions, a good social media book.

I ordered this book back in June and wish I had dug in to it sooner! I’m 75 pages in, not fully into the meat of the content” and the highlighter is getting a work out from with all of my notes, tasks, and go-back-to read agains. The availability of additional assets makes this book a must have, no matter your level of expertise on Social Media.

The book is giving a useful overview but there are a lot of inconsistencies. There is a “to-do list” at the beginning of each chapter that roughly outlines the remaining content. But in the “checklist” at the end of the chapter, the order and selection of bullet points are different. And the downloadable worksheets contain yet another order and selection of topics. Yeah, let the reader clean it up!

Having my own small business, I’ve bought many social media marketing books over the years. This one is by far the best! You can tell that the author really wants you to get the most out of the book, as not only do you receive the paperback when you select that option, but within the first chapter you are also given a link to register your book and gain access to hundreds of freebies! It’s easy to register, and that opens access to a free ecopy of the book (I’m glad that I bought the paperback for easy reference, but the ebook is easier to work through as the links are then active), plus a large library of worksheets to apply your own business to the new methods that you’ve learnt, plus numerous links to social media marketing tools online that I’d never come across before but which are invaluable. I hesitated when buying this book because it was more expensive than other books on the same subject that I’d previously bought, but having only reached Chapter 3 so far and already have got far more from it than any other social media marketing book that I’ve bought before, I’m very happy to say that I was wrong for hesitating.
