What do we all use our phones for? Yes, taking pictures and videos. What I had most of using my phone as a camera is the difficulty in holding it steady. Along comes the Kalofaye shutter remote handle that can be a game changer.I definitely like the feel and size of the grip. It reminds me of mirrorless cameras like the Sony A6000 series. While not perfect, it makes it so much easier for taking one-handed photos and/or videos. I was a little worried that my thumb would touch the screen and get in the way, but so far, not an issue. Will see how it is in the long run. It’s really easy to pair your phone with the remote shutter. Just press and hold the shutter button so turn on the grip then press the shutter again to enter pairing mode. On your phone, just pair with UURIG and you’re on your way. The Kalofaye grip seems to fit most phones. I’m currently using a Pixel 8 Pro and it fits with no issues. It also comes with a 1/4-20 tripod screw on the bottom so you can mount the grip with almost any tripod or mounting device. An added bonus is the cold shoe mount for lighting, microphones, etc…Now for the not so good. It takes a few seconds to power on the device. The remote shutter and built-in light are powered on separately, so you’ll need to press both buttons for a few seconds to power it all on. While the camera style grip is amazing, it’s not quite the most comfortable. I wish the grip was a little taller as I feel like I’m pressing downwards with the index finger to hold the shutter. I like to use the padding of my palm to hold the phone steady and I’m not sure if my palm or thumb may change things on my phone as it’s resting on the screen the whole time. The built-in light may only be good for close up photography or videos. While there’s three levels of brightness it’s just ok.While not perfect, it’s perfect for now. The perfect camera is the one that you have on you. The Kalofaye or UURIG Smartphone Cameral Shutter Handle is a step forward to bridging the space between phone photography and small mirrorless cameras. I’ll definitely be using this grip with my phone as often as possible.

Pretty cool
This is pretty cool if you take a lot of pics. My wife likes it but it is bulky to carry around when not using it. It would fit in a purse but will take up room. It’s way to use and works like a charm. No issues at all in operating it.

Affordable grip and light with remote, tripod mount, and shoe accessory mount
This is a convenient light and shutter grip for mobile phones. I warmed it up on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and it worked as expected. At first I hadn’t noticed that the remote was removable, and was baffled as to why it had two USB-C jacks.At the $22 price point it’s a good deal even for occasional use. The option to mount a microphone or other device on the shoe at the top, and to mount this grip on a tripod, add more flexibility. Just pay attention to where you clip your phone in, or you may end up with screenshots or a power-off prompt.
