A Game-Changer
This book is a fantastic resource for anyone in the education field looking to understand and integrate AI into their teaching. It offers practical strategies and real-world examples that show how AI can enhance the learning experience both inside and outside the classroom. I was especially impressed by how it explored the ways AI can streamline lesson planning, personalize student learning, and make grading more efficient. The insights into future applications of AI in education were eye-opening, and it left me feeling more confident about using this technology. Although I wish some of the concepts were explained in simpler terms, the value of this guide is undeniable.

Beginner-friendly resource for Artificial Intelligence
Even working in tech, I’m still a bit of a débutant when it comes to AI. This book presumes very little about the reader’s knowledge in AI. It gives the background information along with resources if you desire to dig deeper (for example, in Natural Language Processing). Interacting with raw AI tools is largely still based on questions you ask. In the AI world, this is referred to as “prompting” and the book devotes an entire chapter to generating effective prompts.AI in education is still largely a green field, waiting to be explored. The book provides numerous examples and ideas of how AI can be leveraged in the classroom. The ability to tailor educational plans to individual learning styles will be huge! There are also ethical concerns about the use of AI. For the tools to work, they need data. The tool output is dependent on the quality of the data input and it’s important to think about privacy concerns when using such data. This is not an afterthought in the book; it’s referenced throughout and an entire chapter is also dedicated to this topic. This book also does not have all the answers – such a feat is impossible with a field that’s changing as rapidly as AI. It also means there may not be one right answer. For example, when one student is working on much more complicated assignments due to his or her learning style, what does an “A” or “B” mean compared to another student who is working on fundamentally easier material? Also, how can we adapt to a future when AI tools are used to help grade assignments that were in turn generated by AI?This is a great, thought-provoking book that gives you ideas to get started using AI in education and also prompts you to think about and be involved with the best path forward in this industry.

Everybody is jumping on the AI bandwagon, and this author is no exception. From the Front Cover to the content to the Worksheets, this book screams AI-generated.It is not that the content is incorrect and it is well structured, There are some good insights and even some interesting case studies but they are a) very US specific b) not referenced and so I am not sure whether they are real or AI-generated) and not plentiful enough. But the Author is not an authority (or at least no author profile allows us to determine this); the language used is typical of AI-generated manuscripts; the formatting is a little inconsistent; there is a lack of personal insight or narrative to bring this to life. As a result, this is a “filler” book. One worth reading alongside some others but not worthy of being the “go to” or the definitive guide on AI for Educators. It just feels “Lazy” – that the author has found a niche and pumped out a book about AI

Breaks AI down into simple easy to understand terms in what is a complicated subject matter. It was a good read overall.
