Personalized Productivity Strategies With a Focus on Working Smarter to Live Better
Author Ellen Faye thinks of absolutely everything that pertains to productivity (and offers practical solutions) in this book. As a high structure person that is also a perfectionist and procrastinator, I LOVE a good system to keep me moving forward. The author’s approach is to take all of these things into account (using Myers-Briggs and other personality indicators) and provides a range of low to high structure solutions with real world, practical applications. If I could give this 10 stars, I would, it’s that good. Years ago, I read and loved the book, “Getting Things Done” by David Allen. This book is even better because of the personalization of strategies and emphasis on productivity for fulfillment and quality of life.

    Excellent and very thought provoking!
This is not your average book on productivity! I found it to be more like an amazing journey to discover more about how my own brain works and how I’m wired. Ellen has a way of breaking down large concepts into really manageable pieces and leads you down a path to explore what naturally works for you. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to become more aware of their own thought processes and tendencies, and learn how to harness them to live a better, more productive life.

    A practical and accessible read!!!
Not only have I gained a deeper understanding of my own structure preference (didn’t know there was a name for this stuff) and productivity style, but having a greater understanding of how others are wired as well has already shifted my mindset as I navigate both work and personal relationships. I feel like I’ve been given the freedom I didn’t know I needed. Freedom to embrace the way I’m wired, try something new from Ellen’s valuable “Opportunity,” section, and truly let go of some things in order to make other things happen. I find myself referring to valuable nuggets from the book on a daily basis and am eager to share them with others. In fact, have already purchased a copy to give as a gift.

This is THE productivity book to read!
This book is a trifecta. Ellen Faye combines concepts of productivity with individualized styles of planning and follow-through and most importantly demonstrates how her tools and guidance are all connected to one’s values. This is not productivity for the sake of getting things done, it is productivity for the sake of satisfying one’s goals and intentions. Her tools, given some time and attention, make it possible to experience greater satisfaction in how one approaches daily life. Even though not written specifically for the ADHD brain, my clients with ADHD are finding her tools grounding and focusing.

    Productivity fit for you!
For every person who struggles to meet their goals, whether large or small, I highly recommend Ellen Faye’s “Productivity for How Your’re Wired. “This book begins with an assessment of the reader’s personal productivity styles and preferences. Only after those have been identified does the reader embark on the essential aspects of productivity (goal setting, time mapping, weekly planning, email management, etc.) and, most importantly, how to fine tune them to one’s own strengths.”Productivity for How You’re Wired” is for the person who wants a system custom-designed for their own unique success.

good tips but wow…it’s a LOT
I gained great info about myself and a few fabulous tips that are actionable right now. Totally worth the read for that. In terms of adopting the author’s system? I was overwhelmed by the amount of information and options for organizing to-do lists and email. I’m looking for simple. She described her solutions as simple. But just trying to wrap my brain around organizing my emails and to-do lists with her system was not…easy. I think I would quickly fall behind and discard my lists and email categories if they needed to be synced and categorized daily. If there was an online course to walk me through setting this system up, I’d consider it. The only other “hands-on” option for implementing seems to be hundreds of dollars per month (min.) I’ll be signing up for the Getting Things Done online course for help with organizing my projects, time and email ( and will adapt that method with the knowledge/tips from this book.)
