Thibaut provides a quick and easy guidebook on getting things done. It’s really as simple as that: no big complex formula. Just follow these steps; make progress; feel good about it. Super simple

Let your inner beast rip your inner procrastinator to shreds!
A thinking man’s guide to increasing productivity, which presents straight forward and no-nonsense wisdom about how to become more productive in your life. I love how it helps you define what productivity should be for your own life, rather than telling you what productivity should be for all people. Another thing I really like is how it provides a realistic look at money and productivity. I feel that so many people these days are trying to either show us how to get rich quick, or telling us to ditch the concept of money altogether and find your true passion. Those ideals are great, but for those of us living in the real world, we want to do both. And this book focuses on achieving those seemingly opposing ideals in a realistic manner, so that ultimately, our increased productivity can lead to increased happiness and living a satisfying life. Because after all, that’s what we’re all trying to achieve, isn’t it?

    Extremely Valuable Book
I bought this book trying to attain more knowledge, which ironically is something I did way too much (He also mentions this in the book). While there wasn’t a lot of new information in this for me (because of all the studying I have been doing for quite some time), all of information in this book is extremely valuable. I have increased my productivity a lot just by applying some of the concepts.Great and quick read. I also recommend his books on Habits and Goal Setting.

A brief summary of random methods
This book isn’t bad. The author seems to have read many of the mainstream books on productivity and then selected a few of his favorite methods. It reads a bit like the output of a ChatGPT summary without any clear overarching theme or unique insight. But if you just want a few paragraphs on a bunch of different productivity methods, you might like it. It’s very short.

If how to be productive had a roadmap, this book would be that roadmap. There are so many examples in this book, that if you follow them you will become more productive than you ever thought possible. You will earn time back, which allows you to create new ways to improve your life.

I haven’t read many productivity books. I tend to think the field is pretty obvious – work hard and don’t get distracted! However, after reading this book I was pleasantly surprised. The author gives a great, holistic definition of what it means to be productive and then follows it up with insightful discussion of the different productivity theories. The maverick and lazy paradigm are discussed, as are the 52/17 ratio and the Pomodero method. The book kept me interested cover to cover and I learned a lot. If you’re looking to make your life more productive and get through a monster workload then it’s definitely for you.

This book was my first on productivity. I read it once, and intend to read it again soon. The author does a pretty good job explaining why people procrastinate and ways to avoid falling into that pit. He also gives a workbook with a step by step guide, which is very thorough and it does make you think about yourself. I personally didn’t like the way you get your free workbook: “input your e-mail address here and I will send you your file” (that sounds awfully like every other “self-help” website out there, including the possibility of spam; I checked his website and found a privacy policy, though no mention of spam). But hey, it’s free. The writing style is pleasant and easy to read. Keep in mind that there are problems with the text, mostly missing articles and prepositions, as well as your odd or downright wrong lexical choice. But who cares? Only a grammar Nazi like myself would be bothered by such frivolities. One point I would like to mention is that, at the end of every section or point of discussion, the author will ask you the same repetitive questions. Don’t get me wrong: the objective IS to make you take a hard look at yourself and think about your priorities etc. That is absolutely necessary to change beliefs and habits. And lazy readers like myself have frequent reminders. However, I wish those reminders would have a different font type or contained inside a box with an exclamation mark. The text itself will motivate you and it will make you all excited about starting a new goal, and being efficient at the same time while doing it. Kudos to the author. The visual part of the book is simple; maybe a bit too spartan. But the price/benefit ratio of this book is pretty high in my opinion.TL,DR: good read. Do yourself a favor and buy this cheap e-book.

Googling “how to be productive” will give more plentiful, concise methods; take up us less of your time; and offer material in multiple formats. Reading this (no offense meant to the author) felt a waste of time, and didn’t leave me feeling particularly productive. Perhaps good if you’re in a real productivity rut, but then again, Google. It’s free…
