I love this illustrator so much, I follow and watch her videos a lot and do a lot of my own fashion illustration, Iâve been wanting a copy of this book for a long time and finally itâs here! While it is a little smaller than expected I absolutely love all the details and sections Holly added to it, so much that I didnât know was going to be in it were happy surprises 🙂 Iâm so excited to break in to it and get started in 2024

I canât say enough good things about Holly Nichols and her book ! She is amazing at fashion illustration and teaching it in her books. I love to draw, paint and color. So this is amazing and it shows how to blend colors , draw models of all body types and how to draw differ textures and styles of clothing ! This is a definite 10/10 for me !

Perfect for a beginner
Iâve been getting into fashion illustration as a new hobby and started out with this book. I have followed the author on tik tok and love her work. She wrote this how-to beautifully and itâs easy for a beginner to follow along. The book walks you through illustrations but also provides pre-drawn figures for those of us who arenât quite able to draw our own yet. I love that the author included how-to for both hand drawn and digital illustrations. She even includes what brushes she uses in the procreate app. Overall I loved going through this guide and will return to it again and again. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish the author wouldâve gone into a bit more detail on drawing certain clothes but it is overall educational and informative.

I wasn’t familiar with the author before purchasing but wanted to get into fashion illustration for fun and struggled to find an instructional book that seemed like a good resource for me. I pre-ordered this on description alone (and not out of familiarity with the author) and hadn’t given it much thought over the months between order and arrival. I was really blown away when it arrived, it is a very thoughtfully assembled instructional book that also has a great short synopsis about the history of fashion illustration, and the instructional content includes tips like how to achieve certain effects with markers to communicate textile textures etc. I thought it would be more about drawing fashion figures and basic garment shapes. If you were looking for a good book to get into fashion illustration as a hobby, this is easy to recommend.
