Keeps the Panel Dry
So itâs a great idea and I love the clear front on it. However, it does not really keep the person dry. The rain goes in through the Velcro and from the bottom up. I did like that it kept the electronic panel dry, but if you want to remain dry maybe put on a poncho on you first and then this one. Maybe on lighter rain it might do well enough, but I was caught through pretty strong rain and that did not hold as well. But 5 stars anyways because the clear front panel is amazing!

Used the rain cover for a rental scooter at Disney. Rained 2 of the 7 days we were there. This kept the batteries and control panel dry. My only suggestion to anyone who purchases this is to make sure the Velcro neck closure is securely closed, otherwise the rain will get everything wet. This was a very wise purchase.

Good coverage in rain
This poncho covered me and the ECV scooter effectively. Florida torrential rain and wind caused some difficulty–had to hold it in place. I could see the controls effectively. Hood was large, kept falling over my eyes–had to stop frequently to adjust.

Worked as intended
Was alittle short for the rental ecv we had, but it worked for the trip. Could have used an extra foot so that it would cover the handles and seat back at the same time easier.

I am SO GLAD I bought this. The weather for our theme park visit was mostly nice but the last day it rained. It started with a torrential downpour for about 20-30 minutes (just as we were exiting a ride) and then rained steadily off and on for the rest of the day. This poncho was big enough to cover the rider, the seat, the controls, plus the front and back baskets. It kept the rider and scooter dry except for the bottom of her legs. As others have mentioned, there was a little leakage around the velcro opening but a couple drops on her shirt were minimal given the drenching rain that occurred.It did want to slide around/rotate a little but I anticipated that and had a couple of bulky clips (office supplies) with me and I was able to clip it to the front and back baskets which then held it in place.The rented scooter had all these warnings about not getting it wet (as an engineer, this seems like a design flaw to me) so without this cover we would have been dashing for cover and stuck there until the rain ended many hours later – not to mention worrying about damage to the scooter.Other scooter riders were commented that it looked like a great idea as they tried to cover the rider and scooter with two ponchos or plastic bags.Its not perfect but I consider one of the best purchases I made for this trip.

Best scooter protector for travel
We go to a popular Florida theme park where the chance of random showers exist on almost every day. Rather than be stuck somewhere or worrying about how to protect my husband mobility scooter we got this poncho.This works great, it protects my husband and the scooter. We can even park it and leave the poncho cover on to protect it if we want. This is ideal for drizzle, rain showers or even a short sudden down pour. It’s also light, compact and fits easily into our backpack.

I live in an area that gets a small amount of rain but much wind and snow. I tried the cover on and it will help in the rain and in snow cause my scooter will work in temperatures down to minus 20C and without the wind at me I expect I will be warmer. I wear a kilt all the time because my disabilityâs make it difficult for me to get trousers on so the cover helps me there as well.
