Better than I expected! Over the moon.
I love this mindfulness book so much I am buying more copies for my adult kids. I ordered one to help my 16 year old son manage his anxiety and feel calmer, since he is going through a really tough time right now. When I got the book, I looked through the exercises and was surprised to see how creative they are! I found helpful instructions on breathing exercises in the beginning and they are woven into each activity! (This practical application is the perfect way to teach coping skills.) I was also thrilled to find descriptions of real life scenarios and challenges that are relatable. The activities are organized well so you can skim through the pages and find what you need, which means my son will actually try them! The first time I read a section to him, he fell asleep on the couch and was completely relaxed. I can’t wait to try them myself. Thank you for compiling this book!

    Crossing My Fingers
I bought this book as a summertime gift read for a high school teenager who sometimes get bouts of anxiety. When I looked at the short chapters, they look very accessible. The book looks like it would be helpful. It looks like a good book to use in conjunction with family, discussions or therapy or just general teenage self-help.

    Good resource for teens
This book is perfect for young teens. It’s not overwhelming or daunting at all. I have been going through those over the past couple of days with my twelve year old and we’ve enjoyed it together. I wish they’re was a comprehensive list of things to do to reference for when anxiety hits hard. Otherwise, it’s really great and I recommend for teens and their parents.

    Surprised, Impressed, Happy
I had purchased a few Other journals of Amazon, in hopes of gifting them for Christmas. I was disappointed with the lack of creative and repetitive nature of the prompts. However, this book was really informative, and it broke down, mindfulness, and very simple terms. I am a yoga teacher and I gave this to my daughter who is a senior in high school. I plan on getting another one so that I can have one to go over in my yoga classes. If you have questions on this subject, or looking for something to improve your mindfulness and our new to it, or are proficient at it, but still would like some kind of prompt, this is absolutely wonderful for that. Definitely a must buy.

    Wonderful and inspirational
My 16-year-old Granddaughter fi ds this so helpful in expressing her personal thoughts and feelings, particularly as a very young person dealing with incurable cancer. She says this book has helped her best among other journals as makes her really think of how she is feeling. She is very appreciative of having this journal.

    Great techniques for any age!
This book contains great strategies for mindfulness for people of any age. The book is made up of four types of exercises (Calm, Focus, Reconnect, and Respond) and the exercises are sorted by times of day-morning, midday, and evening with a corresponding color for each type of day (yellow, orange, dark orange). I do wish the colors were a bit more distinctive, but no big deal as most of the exercises can really be done at any point in the day. I have been using and teaching the butterfly hug exercise and look forward to delving into some of the other practices. Some are a bit more cute (ie stand like a superhero) but most would be appropriate for any age group, even adults!

I bought this book on spec to help a young teenager struggling with anxiety issues. It is absolutely BRILLIANT and exactly what I was looking for as well as being pitched absolutely perfectly for this age group! The book is beautifully laid out, straightforward, concise, engaging and usable (without the annoying Americanisms of many self help books! ) which is crucial as anything drawn out easily causes this age group to switch right off. It’s also perfect for a teenager to use on their own if necessary or in conjunction with a talking therapy.Am beyond delighted to have found this so easily and as a regular user of mindfulness and meditation myself, it totally surpasses my expectations as an introduction for this age group. A fantastic resource for any healthcare professional to recommend to a young or even older person!

This is a great book for self development of life from teens to adult. We don’t learn all these things in school to prepare students for examinations and life beyond. The book shares many techniques in life such as to remain calm in case of panic or adversities. Mind mapping is also taught how to improve your life forward and the expectations, and preparations. My professor taught me mind mapping and I use this technique till today 48 years on. And events go well as plan with less surprises. The book teaches about focus on examination, mindfulness, and simple meditation as an exercise and others. In life we need to learn these techniques to keep moving forward with less stress, relax and keep going no matter how slow we are to complete the job.I bought this book as a gift for a teenage to help him preparing for his examination and life beyond..
