McAfee antivirus 5device basic protection
Didn’t lie the fact couldnt examine any security or port usage/ technical data. Not once did it detect any malware or viruses and I know I’m not that lucky it’s been now almost my 1 year of having it. Has detected WiFi attacks before. Ease of use. Access control is done via email and password. Simply send a link to device to add protection. Had to mess with it for a while to be able to keep the VPN staying on all the time on all my devices other than that ease of use is high rating just wish it would have more insight into my security Management and data regarding security in general.I’ve seen better versions of McAfee for free trial but I think that was not the basic version.Going to try a different one next time,But so far so good it has helped though I need some more features interactive asset viewing security monitoring features

Do not let Mcafee auto renew your subscription… Buy this instead.
After I purchased my original subscription I setup the auto renew since the product was meeting my needs and I was happy with it but OMG are you kidding me that renewal is $109 !!! What !!! . That is insane for a year. Pick this up when it goes on sale usually around the holidays or prime day for like $20 – $25. You don’t even have to wait until your old subscription runs out. You activate your code and log into your account it gives you the option to extend your current subscription or start a new subscription. Select extend and get another year added to your current expiration date for a quarter of the price. Since you are subscribed you always get the latest year product automatically.

Unable to Install
I was unable to install McAfee Total Protection on my PC. There was an old version of McAfee on my PC that i was unable to uninstall, and a called tech support and they were unable to remove it as well. I was told to contact a different organization (I believe Trellix.com) to remove it, then contact them after that; his explanation of why I needed to do that was not clear. But I think this is unacceptable – how can they not be able to remove their own product?
