Great fun
As it says in the description, this is a compilation of 45s from after Moroccan independence in 1956. My knowledge of Arabic language music is hardly extensive, but these recordings sound close to traditional with some western influence. Lots of call and response vocals from male and female singers, stringed instruments and drums. I find it both cheerful and danceable, I haven’t really wanted to listen to anything else for the past week.

Four starts instead of five for one reason only: I want more! There are only six songs on this CD.
