Effective and Easy To Use
After trying many other car phone holders, this one is my absolute favorite. It’s easy to use, holds my phone (Iphone 11) firmly and securely, and best of all: I don’t have to worry about it moving around, since it is safely seated in the CD slot.I’ve used this phone mount for road trips, for my former job as a delivery driver, and with many different phones; and it still works great! This is a product that I can easily recommend to anyone who is tired of those cheap gas station phone mounts that end up breaking after a couple of months. Trust me, this is a great buy!

Impressive car mount
I have an old(er) car without WiFi connections and needed something to hold my phone in place while I’m driving, especially on the road and needing maps/directions. I liked this iOttie because it expands, is easy to adjust, offers a magnetic bar to attach the phone cord, and offers two options for installation depending on what works best for your needs. I’ve noticed one minor issue: when I have the phone “locked in,” with the arm extended, I notice that when I hit a bump the phone arm sometimes slips down and I have to retighten it. I’ve tried, so far, tightening the nut on the arm which works better but still doesn’t always keep it from slipping. I may have to readjust how it’s installed and/or not extend the arm when I’m driving on local roads/streets, or figure out something else to keep it from slipping. Generally, I’m happy with it.

I have had mine for 3 years. It works great. The only time it has let go of the door is when it’s time to rinse the sticky pad, air dry, and reapply. Typical maintenance stuff. I have a 2021 Ford Escape, and the door has a wide enough and flat armrest area (If you know … you know …) where the iOttie fits perfectly. With the telescoping arm, I can adjust the phone to stay out of my way but still decently close so I can see the maps function on my phone. The pinch-to-release function is great and holds my phone in DFW driving when I have to hit the brakes. The charging cord space where the phone sits works really well, too. The only problem (and it’s not really a problem) is if you have a phone popup or clip on the back of the phone, there is not enough room to keep the phone in the clip so make sure your case has a moveable case ring so you can move it out of the way while its in the holder.

Worked well for 3 years
I was happy with the product and it lasted well for 3 years. The heat melted the material that attaches the suction portion to the windshield.Anyone know how to clean the residue off the windshield? It is sticky and interferes with the sunshade that I use.

After two and a half years of this phone holder being in my car, I can confirm that it’s fantastic
Bought a 2nd generation windshield suction phone holder in Jan 2022 and I’ve had it stuck on my windshield and used it every day since. I just bought a new car and I’m re-ordering the same exact thing which is as high praise as I can give to it. (With that being said, I tried to un-stick the original one I bought off of the windshield of my old car and it’s pretty much melted on there, but after 2.5 years of sitting in the sun every day, that’s to be expected, and I’m sure with a few minutes of cleaning I could get it un-stuck and get the residue off.) The mechanism for holding the phone and releasing it from the phone holder works great and super fast to set it in place and to take it back out, which is nice because I always find myself wanting to take it out and put it back on the holder. Very effectively holds its position, but is adjustable too when you need it. I think every few months or so it droops down by like a centimeter and I have to adjust it and move it back up a tiny bit, and it’s really easy to do and then it’s good for a long time again.

It Works!
A bit more expensive than most of the competition, but given my issues with another brand it was well worth it. High quality materials and the suction device works very well. A separate device to hook up to one of your car vents is very effective–better than anything I have tried before. Worth the money!

Iâve had this phone holder for over 5 years. I havenât had any issue with it holding different size phones until I added one of those phone grips. It doesnât hold it as well. It held my iPhone 15 with the grip on the back- just barely. This thing has stayed on my dash through freezing cold winters and 100+ degree summers. This summer was the first year the heat âmeltedâ the sticky part that holds it onto the base. I was able to clean it up and reconnect it to the base. I was careful to install it on a smooth surface – not the textured part of the dash and followed the directions. My phone has fallen out a few times and it was due to operator error.

This cell phone holder for the car is a great product. Strongly recommended by delivery drivers and regular motorists. The holder locks the phone in place and the strong rubber suction holds the unit in place and doesnât fall . You will never need to buy a new one.

I did not need the vent part, so took that off and then securely mounted this to an existing 17mm ball mount that was previously hard glued to the dash. This makes for a very secure mount and the ability to rotate and angle as required
