Available in audio first, a magnificent new stand-alone romance from New York Times best-selling author Corinne Michaels!

My life was perfect – until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me.

My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed.

Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite.

I can’t stand him.

He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all. I’ve had enough unpredictability for one lifetime, thank you.

But soon enough, we’re fighting less and laughing more. He’s there for me when no one else is. And those good looks aren’t the only panty-dropping thing about him.

If I only knew what to do about it….

    Such a Moving Story!!!
First, I have to say that I LOVE Corinne Michaels and her books!! She is an amazing author! She seems to get better with each book!If I Only Knew is the 4th book about 4 girlfriends who have been through everything together and continue to be there for each other. I have loved all their stories, but Danielle’s story touched me more then the others. It may be because her life was changed by someone’s actions and not by her choice. Maybe it was the way she handled all the crap that came her way. She was very real about how she dealt with everything. And she didn’t see herself very clearly. She thought of herself as a huge mess who was struggling to just make it through each day and to be there for her kids. Now, she was a mess but she was also so strong, just by the way she continued to care for the people around her. I found her to be one of the strongest woman I have ever read! She faced her life head on and dealt with it as best as she could. Which wasn’t easy when she had an angry teenage daughter who was acting out and treating her like crap!!Then there’s Milo!!! We met him in Not Until You, but didn’t really get to know him. He’s Callum’s brother, who has a reputation of being a spoiled brat that does whatever he wants whenever he wants. This was true at the time, but as we get to know him better we start to understand his behavior. He’s really a sweet, caring man who’s been living in his older brother’s shadow. He’s also a former angry teenager who had his father taken away from him by a drunk driver. He doesn’t do relationships, that is until he meets Danielle and gets to know her. Their relationship is a slow burn. They are attracted to each other but Danielle thinks he’s an arrogant ass that she doesn’t need in her life. He slowly wears her down and they become a wonderful couple. Now, it’s not all hearts and flowers! They have a lot to deal with to be together. I won’t tell you what, you’ll just have to read to find out!!The secondary characters are AMAZING!!! Heather, Kristin, Nicole, Noah, Eli and Callum. They’re all very important to the story and wonderful to visit with again. I will say that Callum kinda pissed me off quite a few times with his attitude toward Milo!!I was hooked from the first words of Chapter 1 and couldn’t put it down!!! I highly recommend this, and all of Corinne’s books, to everyone who enjoys romance books!!!

    Oh Sweet Milo
Danni has now spent the past year and a half processing the grief of losing her husband and rejoining the workforce. Her boss Callum promotes her to a VP position and she now needs an assistant. Who better than Milo who used to have the same job just in the UK office. And the brother of her boss, her best friend’s brother-in-law, and man she finds attractive. Milo wants to prove to his brother and everyone else that he deserves to have the VP position, not be an assistant so he sets out to do just that. But along the way Milo’s resentment toward Danni turns to understanding, compassion, and awe. Does he want t he dream job or the dream girl?I loved this story. The way Milo was there for Danni before he even realized he wanted to romantically pursue her was a great story. Danni needed someone like Milo in her corner. Not that her friends weren’t great but they had a history with her husband that Milo didn’t.I wish we could have seen Milo move into a a father-ish figure and shared his story more with Ava just so we could love him even more.

    Absolutely adored this book!!
OH MILO!!!! Who doesn’t love a sexy British man ready to swoop in and steal your heart. That’s Milo! He was a broken man that just needed some unconditional love from someone that wasn’t his mother. Deep inside this beautiful man was a sweet and caring person that he was trying to hide, until, Danielle. Like Danielle, Milo has been through his fair share of heartbreak and was able to shed some light on Danielle’s situation. I love how much he cared for her and was a complete rock for her; it was so endearing. And, although, his character was so cliche Corinne Michaels just out did herself with his character. He was probably one of my favorite male characters from this series.Danielle, I seriously just wanted to break with her. It was so easy to put myself in her shoes and wonder how I would cope and I just cried. From losing her husband to her daughter going crazy because of the lose, as well. It was so real and so raw. I really appreciate that Corinne didn’t write her character so against falling in love again. I’m okay with a slow burn but sometimes it gets to a point where you’re like “COME ON”. That was NOT this book. She grieved and she moved on. And the part where Milo told Danielle that Peter will always be apart of their family!! (SWOON WITH SOME TEARS)Milo and Danielle were perfectly written for each other. I felt everything in this book. The heartbreak, the love, and the anger. That’s what makes a book; when it can pull all the feels out of you. Oh, and their chemistry!! Is it hot in here??? Nope, that’s just Milo and Danni! Also, Corinne did a fabulous job on developing the supporting characters. Danielle’s children had personalities of their own and it was really refreshing to read. Conclusion, this was a perfect ending to the ‘Second Time Around’ Series. You will not be disappointed if you start reading this series. These four girlfriends will forever be in my heart, wishing I had what they do. Thank you Corinne Michaels for another great book and series.

    Tragedy to Love
Oh I loved the last installment to The Second Time Around series. Danielle had so much go on and then tragedy struck her life she didn’t expect. She found herself in a position of heartbreak, loss, being a single parent. I could feel the emotions come off the pages of this book. When she met Milo he changed her world and made it better for her. Watching these two fall in love and fight to be together was great. If you like books about real life and finding love again this book is a great read.

This was one of my most favorite reads so far this year. I loved Milo sooo much. He was the epitome of the strong sexy alpha man who was swept off his feet by the true love of a beautiful woman. Danielle deserved her happily ever after. She suffered enough and fought hard to save herself and the life her kids deserved. Milo was exactly who she needed and she didn’t even know it. There was no real drama only two adults making the right choices to find their forever. Their conndction was sexy and full of feels from the start! This was just a simply beautiful true love story 💖💖 I highly recommend it!!

Loved, loved, loved this book, although it is the last one of the four. Second chances are all around, if you’re willing to try. This book is no exception. I cried, I laughed and cringed with the characters in this book. Remember to read all four books x
