Switching out of S mode in Windows 11
Windows 11 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn’t available in the Microsoft Store, you’ll need to switch out of S mode
1. On your PC running Windows 11 in S mode, open Settings > System > Activation.
2. In the Switch to Windows 11 Pro section, select Go to the Store. (If you also see an “Upgrade your edition of Windows” section, be careful not to click the “Go to the Store” link that appears there.)
3. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you’ll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store.
Activate pre-installed Office 365:
1.Launch any Office app >
2.Start your activation by signing in with your Microsoft account(Create a account if you don’t have one yet) >
3.Click “Activative Office” >
4.Sign in your account and follow the next prompts. >
5.Complete Step 1,2 and 3 >
6.Click on Refresh once Office is ready >
7.Open a document and accept the license agreement.

Frustrating Update Loop
Had to contact the insurance, Amazon, Amazon technicians, and Seller just to go through many different options for me to just get refunded and return the computer. The computerâs screen kept blinking out then it went through an update loop where it would request to be updated then afterwards a notification would pop up saying âsomething went wrong on our endâ. It would then request to be updated again and again along with other black box pop ups. Not sure if itâs windows, Hpâs, or the sellerâs fault but itâs a frustrating situation to keep explaining to multiple people again and again. I do appreciate the people who helped me along the way.

Just what I needed
Needed a simple easy to carry laptop for work and this delivers. Color is pretty and prevents coworkers from mistaking it for one of the communal laptops. Only complaints is that it needed lots of system updates, was in safe mode by default (preventing me from accessing work apps), and the keys donât light up so canât work in low lighting. These were easy fixes and lack of light up keys not a deal breaker. Just what I needed and within my budget.

Stand behind your product
The first one of these I got on Monday and suddenly on Tuesday at locked up and you couldnât even open it or log on or do anything it was like totally dead so I did my Amazon thing and returned it. I got a replacement one by Friday I call that pretty darn good especially since itâs Christmas, I love the HP laptop and I got an HP mouse and I havenât learned to do everything yet but Iâm practicing now and getting it the way I want it
