This Book is an Excelent Tutorial!
I have several books by Robin Whalley and they are all very well written. As a user of Affinity Photo, selecting areas and making masks has always been an issue with me. This book has taught me a tremendous amount in just a short time. How to Select It covers the various tools for making selections in Affinity Photo along with tips on how to use tools and why. The tools are clearly explained as Robin takes you through the hands-on exercises using images that he supplies. The bottom line, Robin is a superb teacher.If you use Affinity Photo, I recommend you read this book.

Great Information Clearly Presented
“How to Select it: The Art of Object Selection Using Affinity Photo” will get you up to speed on making consistently excellent selections. This book brings you the solid knowledge of selections that can take your Affinity Photo editing a step further by allowing you to make very targeted adjustments to your images. Tips on why, how, and when to use particular tools are clearly explained as Robin leads you through the hands-on exercises. The book is clear and easy to follow. I have all of Robin’s books on Affinity Photo and they have all been great. I would highly recommend this book to users of Affinity Photo at any level.

This was a very helpful book covering the various tools for making selections in Affinity Photo. The selection tools and how to combine them can prove frustrating. The book clarifies the tools to use in different situations and how you can easily use different tools together to create intricate selections/masks.

The author has covered aspects of selecting (and therefore masking) in his other books and YouTube videos, but this book brings it all together in a very effective and readable manner. I strongly recommend doing all of the exercises as your skills and understanding of Affinity Photo will rapidly grow as you move through the book.
