Must Read if you are looking to start an online business!!
This book is incredibly useful for those looking to earn money online but aren’t sure where to begin. It’s packed with ideasâlike dropshipping, selling items on Amazon, and even writing your own book. The content is clear and accessible, even for beginners, providing many helpful tips. However, it lacks detailed information on each topic, which is a minor drawback. Nonetheless, it’s excellent for generating ideas and exploring potential ventures. The author clearly has a genuine interest in assisting others. If you’re considering starting an online business, this book is a great initial resource.

Solid introductory guide
This is a solid introductory guide to making money online that basically summarizes much of the advice and strategies that are commonly shared on places like YouTube. It doesn’t have much in the way of groundbreaking info or deeper insights, so if you’ve already been down the online income rabbit hole and want to learn more about any particular aspect, this likely isn’t going to be the book for you. But if you’re just wanting to get a good, basic idea of some of the best ways to make money online today, this is a great place to start.

Helped fill in the blanks
I have been a brick and mortar entrepenure all my life. Now retired and out of boredom I’ve started to look at passive e businesses. This book has thaught me a few things. First, the due diligence between brick and mortar and e commerce is similar. Second, passive e business doesn’t exist. The same amount and devotion of time is the same at first if you want to be successful. After start up the process is much easier and as the book points out, the elimination of overhead in most cases makes the process easier but not hands off. E commerce isn’t a money faucet you turn on and walk away from. I’ll continue to use this book as a guideline to help me through the thought process as I try to decide how much time I want to dedicate to a new business. The book is worth it.

Comprehensive book!
This book covers everything from startup to maximizing sales. It covers product and service sales. The author even discusses stacking services and training. Well written and organized. He does not tell you it will be easy, but he does tell you where to look and what you need to research to maximize sales. If you are even thinking about starting an online business this is a great book for reference and determining if you want to put in the work and what you you need to do to be successful.

Navigating the Digital Gold Rush: A Critique of ‘How to Make Money Online in 2023’
In the ever-evolving landscape of the internet, the allure of making money online has never been more tempting. “How to Make Money Online in 2023: A Beginnerâs Guide to Almost Passive Income with Ecommerce, Affiliate Marketing, Self-Publishing, Niche Websites, Online Courses, and More” aims to be the compass for aspiring digital entrepreneurs. However, while it promises a map to the treasure, the journey it outlines feels all too familiar, treading well-worn paths rather than blazing new trails. The book lays out a comprehensive, albeit conventional, framework for beginners. The 5-step process for selecting a niche is practical, guiding readers through the crucial first step of their online venture. Yet, this advice, while sound, doesn’t break new ground. Similarly, the exploration of ecommerce strategies, particularly for Shopify, offers a solid foundation but lacks innovative insights that could elevate an online store beyond its competitors. The discussion on the dichotomy between selling products and services online is one of the bookâs more enlightening sections, providing a clear distinction that could aid newcomers in choosing their business model. However, this insight is an oasis in a desert of generic advice. The coverage of social media platforms for marketing is comprehensive, touching on six major networks, but it reiterates widely known strategies without offering novel tactics tailored to the rapidly changing digital marketing landscape. The bookâs attempt to cover a wide array of online money-making venturesâfrom e-commerce to self-publishing and online coursesâis ambitious. Yet, this breadth sometimes comes at the cost of depth. The mention of a 50-year-old digital marketing tactic that boasts a 3800% return is tantalizing but feels like a missed opportunity to delve deeper into such high-impact strategies.Where the guide shines is in its practicality for absolute beginners, providing a clear starting point for those with zero experience. The list of 11 tools to automate a dropshipping business, for instance, is a valuable resource that can help readers “set it and forget it,” moving closer to the dream of passive income. However, the book’s claim to guide readers toward “almost passive income” might set unrealistic expectations. While it highlights which business ideas are “semi-passive,” it perhaps underplays the significant effort and time investment required to reach a genuinely passive income state. In conclusion, “How to Make Money Online in 2023” is a competent entry point for those looking to dip their toes into the vast ocean of online entrepreneurship. However, for those seeking to navigate beyond the horizon, the book may feel like a vessel too anchored in the familiar, lacking the innovative insights needed to truly stand out in a sea of similar guides. It’s a solid, if somewhat generic, starting point for beginners, but seasoned digital nomads will likely crave more depth and novelty in their quest for online riches.
