Very High Overview of Approaches to Buying A Business
I didnt take as much as I had hoped other than a very high overview of approaches to buying a business. This may function as a quick reference but dont expect to get too much in the form of very detailed actionable advice. Im guessing this is a lead magnet book to Royals other products. I did enjoy that fact that it was a quick read.

Snake oil
I have been in the business of buying and selling businesses for 20 years but that was not what turned me off to this book. He starts off with admitting he is a thief. I am not a fan of those free seminars that end with you buying some expensive training materials but to make copies and share is stealing, plain and simple. Then later he tells you to request the materials on a business even if you are not going to seriously considering. No professional broker will hand over a package without asking you to express your interest, to tell the broker you are interested only to get a package is lying. Can you say snake oil salesman?

The idea interests me but there isn’t really enough detail to use but i am very curious to know more and being from an American author and setting I think they are more open to deals than here in the UK. Also it doesn’t fully explain why somebody would sell their prized livelihood when one has nothing to bring to the table other than a idea how they will benefit. It’s worth reading for a quick overview and then do some serious research to delve deeper.

I read the Kindle version of the book from cover-to-cover. It offers some interesting ways of looking at putting together business deals. However, the example stories the author draws on to make his points, in some of his techniques (according to himself) are from many years ago (perhaps decades ago). Today’s sellers are a lot more informed about their options, especially in major metropolitan areas and many of them enlist the support and council of Business Consultants and brokers as well as accountants and lawyers. So, some of the techniques explained in this book seem too hard to believe let alone to pull-off in a business transaction unless the seller is in a dire situation and is desperate and wants to dump his liabilities over to someone else.Having said that, some of the techniques can work as I have seen them done in the past. All in all, I would recommend you to read it if you are out there looking to buy a business. For the price of a cup of coffee (for the Kindle version), this book is definitely worth it.
