From New York Times bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews comes a charming holiday romance about a newly single thirtysomething whose unauthorized vacation rental turns into a hilarious game of hide-and-seek when the new owner unexpectedly shows up.

Tilly Farriday isn’t feeling very jolly this season. Recently divorced and broke, she’s squatting in one of her rental agency’s properties until her new home is ready. The sprinkles on top of the burnt Christmas cookie that is her life? The new owner shows up early, forcing Tilly to hide in the attic to save her job…and what remains of her dignity.

George Holloway is here to sell his granduncle’s house—and to reconsider whether he and his fiancée are right for each other. Amid home repairs, George notices strange noises and missing food, but as much as he gets his rental agent on the phone, Tilly dodges every invitation to meet. He’s sure that someone’s here with him, and it’s certainly not the Ghost of Christmas Past, Present, or Future.

As Tilly and George circle each other, they both wonder where their lives are headed and if, maybe, meeting each other is just the Christmas miracle they need.

A fun and Delightful Christmas Story
Mary Kay Andrews has been a favorite author of mine for years. Her writing style always captivates me right away in the first chapter. Holiday Hideaway had me laughing out loud with her descriptions of Tilly and George’s mishaps.I loved this book so much and I am happy Mary Kay Andrews wrote this delightful story. I didn’t want it to end but I also wanted to know how it ended.A must read for readers wanting a delightful and entertaining Christmas Tale.

    Cute Christmas mini
This was a cute Christmas short story that could easily be turned into a to a Hallmark movie. Allison Sweeney as the real estate agent stuck squatting in the handsome guy’s nearly inherited beach house. I’d watch it.

    A very short story
It’s difficult to imagine that somebody could progress from stranger to fiancé that quickly. I did like the character development. The ex-husband did seem a little more evil than usual. You must be ready to suspend disbelief to follow this romance.

Tilly’s has a VERY interesting life.
Tilly is divorced, and her new home won’t be ready until the first of the year. She is broke, so she decides to stay in one of her rental agency’s properties. When she moved in, George Holloway is here to sell his granduncle’s house, so she is forced to move up to the attic. She leaves the food on the counter she had just brought in. It didn’t take him long to figure out someone else was living there. He decided to climb up on the roof to fix the leaks. His girlfriend told him not to do it because he was a klutz, and he needed to come home for her big party. Did he listen? NO!!! Of course, he is injured, so Tilly is helping him out. It is interesting to read, how they get along, and all that happens. Going pretty good, and George’s girlfriend is being escorted by Tilly’s ex-husband to the rental property. It is a fun read, and it went so smooth, it was done before I knew it, but of so satisfying.I received an ARC by Amazon Original Stories through NetGalley.

The perfect cup of holiday cheer!!
“Holiday Hideaway” is the perfect slice of Christmas to get everyone into the holiday spirit. Tilly is down on her luck and along with her precious senior dog Smoosh, she is hiding out in a vacant house that was once filled with laughter and joy at Christmas. No one wants to be alone during the holidays so to keep Tilly company, the former owner’s nephew found his way to Crowe’s Nest and made himself at home. George seemed familiar to Tilly, who was spying on him from an upper floor, and the minute he began singing a Christmas carol, she knew exactly who he was. Their reunion was full of surprises as Tilly stepped in to save George from peril and nurse him back to health. Tilly and George may not have wished for romance for the holidays, but the spirit of the season brought happiness, joy and a bright future to this fun-loving couple.

    Sweet story but predictable
Love Mary Kay Andrews’s books, and even when some of her stories are quite predictable as this one is, they are fun to read. These characters are likable and the reader wants everything to turn out right for them.
