Find Another Dream, written and performed by Maysoon Zayid, is the true story of how a Muslim Jersey girl with cerebral palsy creates her own path to stardom.
The daughter of Palestinian immigrants, as a child she dreamed of one day dancing on Broadway. While chasing fame, she found her voice in stand-up comedy, performing in multiple languages in sold-out shows all over the world.
When not touring, Maysoon Zayid is a passionate advocate who fights for access to education for disabled students worldwide and battles bullying online. Fun to listen
On our busy lives itâs hard to find time to read a book. I loved the idea of an audio book. I enjoyed listening this audio book while I was driving.

A Fun Listen
This was a fun look at a life of a girl with a disability who wants to be normal and live her dream. She is funny and has no problem telling you exactly what’s on her mind. If she has one major flaw, she became political and good friends who did not have her same political views, she dropped them. That rubbed me the wrong way and it kind of soured the rest of the book. But otherwise I enjoyed listening.

I laughed a lot and learned a lot
I enjoyed this book. I laughed a lot and learned a lot about the kinds of challenges disabled people face in America. I had never heard of this comic before but I’m glad I found her. I listened to her TED talk and got to see her in action. I’m glad she was raised to live her dream. It is an encouragement to me, an abled body person, not to give up on mine.

Great Storytelling!
I started listening in the afternoon, and kept going until I was finished in the early evening. Telling one’s life story is difficult at best. She pulled it off with ease, by balancing humor, hard truth and thoughtfulness. Maysoon is a compelling storyteller. When I wanted to cry, she made me laugh, and she made me think about some things with a bit more depth. Not trying to give things away, so I’ll shut up now.
