Sounds across the world
This is a required textbook for my music class, Music around the World. It’s easy to read and I recommend looking at the connected videos which are free online. That makes what you are reading come to life. CD’s are not required for the class, but listening to them might be a wise move as the written information is easier to digest. This is a fascinating subject and encouraged me to explore music from other parts of the world. As far as textbooks go, this is a good one. I especially like the glossary and highlighted terms that will most likely show up on an exam.

CDs not included
Doesnât come with CDs, although I expected as much since it wasnât clearly stated anywhere. Beats having to buy the book though. Hopefully the CDs arenât needed for the course.
