From Mary Higgins Clark, America’s bestselling “Queen of Suspense,” comes a chilling story of murder that reaches the heights of suspense while exploring the depths of the criminal mind as one woman searches for the killer of her sister—and one man tries to prove his innocence.
Ellie Cavanaugh was seven years old when her older sister was murdered near their home in New York’s Westchester County. It was young Ellie’s tearful testimony that put Rob Westerfield, the nineteen-year-old scion of a prominent family, in jail despite the existence of two other viable suspects. Twenty-two years later, Westerfield, who maintains his innocence, is paroled. Determined to thwart his attempts to pin the crime on another, Ellie, an investigative reporter for an Atlanta newspaper, returns home and starts writing a book that will conclusively prove Westerfield’s guilt. As she delves deeper into her research, however, she uncovers horrifying facts that shed new light on her sister’s murder. With each discovery she comes closer to a confrontation with a desperate killer.

Fantastic, gripping read.
I finished the book in 2 days, would have been one had I had the time. Mary keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire read, and somehow manages a happy ending. Very good read
Adele –
great story
This was a great read -I had to keep reading until the end. Postponed my housework until then. Itâs all about priorities 🙂

Good book
To be honest I have heard of this author my entire life and I donât think I have ever read a book by her. So today was the day and it did not disappoint! This book was a great mystery I loved the arrangement of characters and timeline. Ellie is amazing and I have loved her since the first chapter. She is resilient and determined.Sadly, I was hoping for more twists. I wouldnât call this a thriller more of a mystery. With that said I did read this in one sitting. It was a quick easy read.

I Remember Now Why I Love Suspense
Title: Daddyâs Little GirlAuthor: Mary Higgins ClarkFormat: ebookGenre: SuspenseStandalone: yesPart of a Series: noPOV: Elie (mostly)Steam Level: none5/5Itâs been ages since Iâve read Mary Higgins Clark and frankly I forgot how much I like her work. Despite owning the hardback version of this book, I snapped this book up when I saw it on KU.I was enthralled from the start. Daddyâs Little Girl drew me in and didnât want to let go until it was done. I loved the mystery, suspense and wild chases this book led me on. I remember now why Mary Higgins Clark is considered the Queen of Suspense. Daddyâs Little Girl brought me back to my roots of loving a gray mystery.

I really liked these people..
The characters were real, you felt their fear and their courage. It is a story of a hurt that had to be faced and a family that deserved to. Forgive.

Haunting tale of how families are affected by tragedy
Written in the first person thereâs little doubt that the storyâs heroine will survive. I was mesmerized by the fierce and brave fight Ellie engages in to prove her sisterâs murderer was not wrongly convicted. Mary Higgins Clark has always been one of my favorite authors and as I read some of her older stories I can follow and enjoy her growth as a writer.

twists and turns that keep you guessing
I liked the way she followed every lead she could find. I even questioned if she was on the right track but she was thrilling right to the surprise ending

I absolutely love this book, itâs written in the first person and the pacing is very good, not frenetic like her usual style. You can settle into the story about a young lady who investigates the man imprisoned for her sisterâs murder. It is very well written with excellent plot twists. Itâs a very empathetic story and I usually re read this every year in autumn. I would recommend this.

Angie67 –
Not quite as good as some of her other books, but well thought out and interesting to read. Alll the knots were untied and everything was clear in the end. Although there is no surprise twist in this plot, you more or less know from the start who the culpable is. But the story never lost my interest. I’m certainly going to read more from Higgins-Clark.

Papier recyclé recyclé… très désagréable au toucher, tout comme l’odeur très forte.Prix totalement injustifié eu égard au produit très bas de gamme. Ne vaut pas plus de 2 euros.A éviter.
