I didn’t expect to enjoy reading this, but I did!
This was required reading for a class I took, so I had to buy it. I read the entire book, cover to cover, in one day, and found myself wanting to read more after completing each chapter. I feel like these books are usually geared toward elementary school teachers, but as a secondary teacher, I learned plenty of approaches and strategies to improve my skills in the classroom. It was worth my money and worth the read.

Great Book & Very straightforward
I wish this tool was provided to all first year teacher’s! Worth every penny and have thought about buying it for my co-workers as well. Really wish my district would purchase and distribute more text related to cultuarally responsive teaching (such as this one)!

Why is this considered a required textbook for teacher certification?
Only bought it because it was required for a class. The author is at times condescending, self-agrandizing, and at others insightful.
