    The new “Go-to” SFMC book!
    Thank you Greg and Jason for putting this well written and extremely helpful book together! I have been working in SFMC for over 10 years and still was able to pick up some new tricks and will be definitely be using this as a guide to help me explain some of these concepts to my clients. Whether you are a novice, or experienced in the platform, this book does a great job of laying the foundation and explaining the basics of automation, before diving into the more technical how-to’s and all the possibilities the tool provides. I especially liked the explanation of when to use Automation Studio vs Journey Builder (or both!), as this is something I have seen people struggle with often. Couldn’t recommend this book more for anyone who currently works in SFMC or is looking to get started.

    Complex ideas simplified
    As a SFMC beginner, reading this book from cover to cover was a lot to take in initially. There are definitely some areas that are more advanced, but I appreciate how it opened my eyes to areas of the tool I haven’t had a chance to explore yet, while simplifying things enough for me to be able to understand step-by-step actions to take. After reading this, I can now more comfortably relate common business pain points to solutions and have an overall better understanding of Marketing Cloud and it’s vast capabilities.I fully anticipate this book will continue to be an exceptional reference tool for me, and it won’t be long until it’s completely covered in sticky notes and highlighter.

    I already had very high expectations from this book and it exceeded them on every front. Greg and Jason have created a great asset here for the Marketing Cloud community ,and the best thing is that it can be useful for beginners and experienced Marketers alike.The book has helped me greatly in clearing many doubts of mine by using relatable language with brilliant catchphrases and metaphors.This is a great testimony to our Ohana community.

They guide you through each approach in a fun and enjoyable way making it easy to learn from at your own pace. If you are looking to advance your SFMC skills, or to be exposed to techniques you might not have considered before then pick up a copy of this book.

    This is the book I wish I had when I started working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. SFMC is a platform with difficult access, and finding clear and concise content about the activities that make up its two main automation tools is difficult.Greg and Jason make an effort to explain everything in a simple way, without using the Salesforce language that we are used to, which makes it much easier to understand. Just like that, they helped me to close many gaps that I had from working, studying for certifications and experience with clients, on how Automation Studio and Journey Builder work, and most importantly, that it is not about choosing one over the other (as I have heard countless times), but choose both to reap the benefits of each within your solution.The book is divided into two main parts, the first helps you to generate a mindset based on automation, and the second to generate practical examples with the help of the tools and languages ​​that you have available in SFMC.It sounds easy to skip the first section, but really understanding how the theory behind automation works, the value of context and what lies behind the best practices, has allowed me to see with different eyes the projects that I carry out with my clients, to understand that the most complex solution is not always the best, that what works well for many may not be the perfect option for your problem and that skipping the understanding and construction of your solution will only bring a fatal outcome for your budget, time and dedication.In my case, the second part is the one that gives me the most headaches because I’m not a developer, but it helps me understand the concepts and logic of how things like APIs, SDKs, webhooks and microservices work. The book has a Github repository that accompanies the lessons so that you can follow the exercises by the authors and they don’t just show you how to do things, but also explain why they are the way they are and how to solve it.If it is your first time using SFMC you will see an indispensable value that you will not find in the SF help documents and will take you lots of time to get up to speed. If you already have time using the tool, you will feel reflected in a lot of moments, aha moments and thoughts like “damn, how come I didn’t think that when we worked on the solution for _____”. It is a must buy if you work or will work with the platform, and I’ve recommended it to all my colleagues.

    Recently I had the opportunity to have a read of Automating Salesforce Marketing Cloud. All I can say is thank you Gregory (Gortonington) Gifford and Jason Hanshaw for this awesome contribution.A good read for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud beginner and expert alike.Analogies like the “peanut butter and jelly sandwich” make it easy to understand how the tools in Marketing Cloud fit together and how to find answers to questions about marketing automation.I am sure that this will be one of those most read books for anyone interested in making sense of Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Definitely a good and much needed book.

Eins der schlechtesten Bücher, die ich je gekauft habe.Jedes Thema wird nur angesprochen und dann verwässert.Mal werden Business Konzepte angesprochen, dann Code Schnipsel vorgestellt.Das Buch ist ein Sammelsurium von Begriffen, Halbwissen und Leerkonzepten.Das Thema Marketing Automatisierung ist ei Top Thema. Die Autoren versuchen das Interesse abzuschöpfen, ohne einen Gegenwert dafür zu liefern.Zeitverschwendung.
