Im not one to complain Iâve been long time shopper on Amazon so this is my first complaint ever, but I was super excited for the Rog 8 phone as Iâm a big time mobile gamer but I am disappointed that the triggers are acting up , Iâve had rog 3 , rog 5s and even the 6s , I thought I was up grading but turns out the product I received is either bugged or is malfunctioning as soon as I got it out of the box , I paid alot for this and Iâm just completely unsatisfied idk what I should do really so be aware everyone sometimes you get goods and sometimes itâs bad

NEW as advertised everything boxed from ASUS / NO AeroActive Cooler X ( 1TB Pro Edition only )
Everything that was supposed to be in the box was there, phone, charger adapter for wall, Type-C cord, instruction booklet. NOT the AeroActive Cooler X. That item only comes with the Pro Edition, not the Pro. The Pro edition is the 1TB 24GB RAM version. All other things were NEW and as advertised and boxed by ASUS. Phone is NEW as well and no external markings or signs of anything being other than NEW.

Amazing phone. Make sure you get the right model from a legit seller. Got mine from Mobile Advanced

Upgrade from ROG 7
The phone is same width, smaller depth, and shorter in length. In hand it feels a lot lighter than the 7 because of the slightly smaller battery. Overall, after a week of use, I have no complaints. Out of box, from ASUS comes a clear protector which is nice. Cost is a bit steep but worth the price over the fruity alternative IMO.

Not really a gaming phone anymore
The biggest annoyance with this phone from the previous ROG phones is that in the attempt to become a flagship phone it is not really as usable as a gaming phone anymore. All of the market controllers will not fit it, or its incredibly off center from the USB port not being center and the camera bump being too large. You either have to sacrifice the ability to use the cooler or use a clunky controller that isn’t as portable as a switch-type setup. Also, with all the access ports on the side, sound will be muffled and the headphone port will not be accessible. There was talk about the ROG tessen releasing alongside it, but it hasn’t been available and even so it doesn’t quite fit.Things to fix it would be an “adaptor” that makes the USB centered for switch-like setups or bring back the Kunai with a case that works. But as it stands, you’re better off getting the Rog 7 if you can find it.4/1 Update: Well two weeks after receiving it the air triggers are not working and sometimes work and sometimes dont. I didn’t have this issue on my previous ROG

Great phone, fine seller – Updated 9/30/24
The phone is pretty nice, the gaming performance that you come to expect from the ROG phones with some nice improvements. The headphone jack is always appreciated, along with the ultrasonic triggers. Great battery paired with fast charging. I’m not a fan of the hole punch camera, but I can live with it. For the price of this phone I feel like the Aeroactive Cooler X should come with, I know it does in the “Pro Edition” but this is still 1.2 thousand USD.The main reason this is 2 stars and not 4-5 is because of the seller, Mobile Advance. The phone went on sale from $1200 down to $1080 just after I had purchased it. Even after calling their number twice and emailing them once, I have not received any kind of support, no acknowledgement whatsoever. Avoid Mobile Advance if you want good customer service.- Update -Mobile Advance refunded the sale price to me today. I’m updating the score due to this. They took two days to respond to my first email and three days after that for them to refund me. I’m grateful that they did refund, but I will say that they’re still pretty slow on the communication front.
