Author profile: Natalie Normann –
It’s a wonderful and christmassy story.
She did it again! And this time with tinsels, Santa and mince pies. I have so enjoyed reading The Cornish Christmas Murder, and despite the murder, it’s a wonderful and christmassy story. The brilliant Jodie Parker has a gig at a lovely manor, and brings along her daughter, best friend, her mum and even the dog. All is well, everyone having fun, until there’s a nasty snowstorm, and someone gets murdered. And that’s all I’m going to say, since I don’t want to share any spoilers. But rest assured, Jodie is as sassy and smart as ever, and this time, she has a boyfriend! I’m really enjoying this series. Nothing better than a well-written cosy crime â with loads of great food. I have learned to not read Jodie Parker books on an empty stomach …

errors
Grammatical errors were very distracting! I am an English professor, and there were MANY errors!Characters were mostly believable and portrayed well.
J Cass –
Good plot, but distractingly poor grammar.
Every time I was about to settle into the book, I would run across something like âhim and Steve had been on friendly termsâ and numerous similar errors throughout the book. Consistently poor writing and/or editing is very distracting, at least to me. I expected moreâ¦

Cozy Cornish Christmas Murders
âA Cornish Christmas Murderâ (Nosy Parker Mystery #4) by Fiona Leitch. âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸ Genre: Cozy Mystery. Location: Cornwall, England. Time: Present.–SERIES: Jodie (Nosey) Parker quit her job as a London Police Officer and moved home to Penstowan. She now owns a small, safe catering business. But murder keeps finding her, and true to her nickname, Jodie gets involved.–THIS BOOK: 12 guests, 1 snowstorm, and 1 Nosey Parker. Jodie caters a holiday childrenâs party at 13th century Kingseat Abbey. Her crew consists of 15-year-old daughter Daisy, Jodieâs outspoken mum, ex-nurse Debbie, and Germaine the Pomeranian. Stuck at the abbey by a snowstorm, they are joined by other stranded travelers. The next morning, a murder is discovered in a locked room. It must be someone in the abbey. But who, how, and why? Police canât get through the storm, so Jodie and crew investigate.–The book is full of secret passes and hidden doors, snarky comments and family love, red herrings and twisted plots, reveals and redemptions, local language and customs. Thereâs no map, so you might want to take notes-the abbey is large and rambling.–Trigger note: Jodieâs van is The Gimpmobile. Traditionally, âGimpâ is offensive slang for a person with a physical disability. This book taught me it is also slang for a sexual fetish that has nothing to do with disabilities. The story is Jodieâs van was previously owned by a sexual fetish shop owner, thus the name. Itâs not offensive when one understands the context, so Iâm not lowering my rating based on an unfortunate coincidence.–Itâs the perfect book for your holiday season, no matter what or who you celebrate or donât celebrate. The writing is funny, the action moves along, and the characters are enjoyable. Itâs 5 stars from me.ðµðð©ð¼âð¦³.â

Murder
This story had some interesting twists. The characters are kind of querky. It’s a solid little Christmas cozy that you have suspicions about the murderer but would never have guessed the motive in a million years

Great English Cozy
A nail-biting mystery set in a centuries old abbey with suspects galore. Jodie leaves the big city and law enforcement for a new career in catering in the small English village where she grew up. She ends up dating a local DCI who hopes she doesn’t go all Jodie-ish when someone ends up murdered after her current catering job. However, Jodie cannot help herself and soon begins her own investigation.I have been hooked on this series since book 1. It is smart and funny with great characters that keep me wanting more. Thanks to Harper Collins and NetGalley for an advanced copy. The opinions expressed are my own.

I like the characters. Could have used a little more holiday reference.

Lost it’s sparkle a bit
Really enjoyed the other books in this series, but this didn’t live up to those. Tony, understandably, never makes an appearance based on the setting, but I missed him. The death is actually 100% physically impossible, and the reason behind it is so thin that it seems to be an afterthought. Plus, there’s none of the cute flirtation between Jodie and Nathan. Still planning to read the next in the series, but this missed the mark.

Like the author’s ability to portray personalities.

Fiona Leith combina las recetas de cocina, con las recetas para resolver el crimen y su vida personal.Lo hace con una narrativa muy sencilla y amena.

Loving this as well as all the rest in the series. The different crimes are well written and the background of the relationships which run through the series keeps you wanting to know what happens next to the characters.Brilliant suspense and and excellent read.

A quick and easy read. I did have trouble remembering who was who because outside of cliché characteristics, there was not much to go by, and was disappointed that the overall atmosphere was not more built upon. It was fun, it was easy, it won’t stay with me forever but it was not expected either.

Great fireside read.
