Works
Donât know what the real differences is between the gaming version and the normal Norton, but this works just as well as the normal one. Thereâs a couple added features on the software menu like performance and optimize, but youâd be kidding yourself if you think an antivirus software is better at cpu or gpu performance than the guys who build the parts and the software. Just buy whichever version is cheaper, the normal version or this gaming one.

Excellent product, the vpn is very good, I haven’t seen any slowdown on a 200 mbps connection.For people getting the failure to connect error, when you initially install the program run an update before activating. Also the interface requires internet explorer to be installed for the sign in features, if it’s removed you will have connection errors like 6008 and browser failure.

Donât waste your money
Product won’t install, after the run around on installation and Customer support/remote access to my device. Norton literally told me they were having “security issues” and they would call me back in 2 – 3 days after uninstalling ALL previous security on my desktop. Client will not communicate with server to activate service. Essentially a scam and waste of money. Purchased as “Deal of the Day” on Amazon and honestly regret it. Thankful it was only $35Update: 7/21/2020 The issue seems to have resolved itself and install and activate properly. I have edited from 1 star to 4 for terrible customer support and installation process. It seems according to other reviews Norton Servers were indeed experiencing issues at the time this was offered as Deal of the day.Fairly reviewed this is easily a 4 star product.

Easy to download and works great!
I bought and downloaded this on two computers, one gaming and one laptop. I liked the features available for a gaming pc and seems to be working great. The laptop was slow and bogged down and this cleaned it up and made it work like new again. That one was running a free antivirus and downloading this was worth every penny. It was easy to download and use all the features. Highly recommend!

Unable to activate, error -6008. Excruciatingly bad customer service.
After installing the Norton software from the Amazon software page, it would not activate. It continuously gives me a server error -6008 and will not complete the installation. So I contacted Norton chat support. Terrible.. terrible experience. After asking about my issue the FIRST thing the agent asked me was if he could Remote into my computer and see if he could fix it. Umm no? Why would I let someone intrude into my system without going through a pipeline of solutions first. After telling him no and asking for solutions, he said it was beyond his scope (after just offering to remote into my system… lol) and he needs to forward my case to technical support, who MAY reach out to me in 7-10 days. Yeah no… not waiting that long.So I tried to call the customer service line. Got through the maze of menus to someone who essentially asked me to restart my computer. Of course anything else is beyond his scope, so he transferred me to “technical support”. After a 20 minute walk-through of uninstalling Norton and reinstalling again, and restarting (which still produces the same -6008 issue) he put me on hold. And then he hung up. Dropped the call.So after over an hour going back and forth, I’m still sitting with the same issue. I’m going to see if I can get a refund. Beware. I thought Norton was going to be easier to work with compared to the “old days” but this is obviously not a great impression.Update 7/19/20 – The Norton software seemingly activated and fixed itself overnight. The coverage is active, however the VPN does not work. This was a major selling point for the “Gamer” edition, and as others mention, it still doesn’t connect and gives a generic error “VPN server cannot connect, please try again later”. I’m still keeping this at a 1 star review because the rollout of this product, I guess coinciding with it’s Amazon One-day sale, which is when I purchased it, was so badly bungled. On top of that the customer service is outsources and helpless. So I still have half the bundle they sold me and no support. Better off purchasing Panda security antivirus, I’ve had a good experience with them in the past.

Gamer Husband Approved!
He stress tested this all weekend and works great with limited to, no popups. My husband, our avid household gamer was very interested in trying this out to keep his tags and what not safe (sorry, I’m not the gamer – he is). We have regular Norton, so the gaming tag monitoring with the Norton gaming version as well as full screen detection to limit alerts was the main reasons he wanted to try this. Both of those features work great so far. Download was super easy, not sure what the problem is from other reviews. Husband would recommend to all his friends!
