$1 Billion in self-serve revenue.

Sounds a bit crazy, right?

Well, it might sound crazy. But it’s not impossible.

And I know this because this is what I did over the last 5 years: guided 408+ software companies to $1 Billion in collective self-serve revenue—using product-led growth.

After all, product-led growth is what Slack, Miro, Google, and OpenAI used to scale to legendary heights. It’s all about understanding consumer behavior, buying habits, and leveraging your product to drive results.

But here’s the thing: product-led growth isn’t a silver bullet.

Simply slapping on a free trial or freemium tier to existing software doesn’t guarantee you’ll suddenly drive millions in revenue. It requires an in-depth understanding of your target audience, the market, and the decision-making process.

After 9 years of working alongside hundreds of SaaS companies, diligently tracking what they did and when – I was able to pin down what separates the wildly successful, multi-million-dollar product-led SaaS companies from the rest.

And no, they didn’t just have great onboarding.

Or transparent pricing.

What these companies had was a driven, visionary founder who set up an unshakeable foundation for the future of their company. A foundation so strong it could easily support their exponential growth.

What’s more, there were 9 key elements that repeated themselves across these foundations, forming an exact system for building and scaling a profitable, product-led company to 7, 8, even 9 figures in revenue—and beyond.

And that’s what I want to share with you today.

Hi, I’m Wes Bush, founder of ProductLed.com and author of the bestseller Product-Led Growth: How to Build a Product That Sells Itself.

And in this new book, The Product-Led Playbook, I’m sharing with you the ProductLed System™ – a system of 9 elements that SaaS companies can implement to build that same unshakeable foundation for scaling their ARR to multiple millions without a sales team.

All boiled down into a simple, step-by-step process.

“This book is the go-to manual for building a successful product-led business.” – Esben Friis-Jensen, Co-founder at UserFlow ($5M ARR with 3 employees).

Here’s a sample of what you’ll uncover inside:

What the 9 key elements are of a strong product-led organization – and how to implement each one, step-by-step.What the 15 moats are that you can use to hone your strategic differentiation and make what you do hard to copy.Which clues you need to look for to identify your best-fit (and most likely to pay) users. How to design a generous free plan that lets users experience the product’s value and taps into customer preferences without giving everything away. What you need to put on your homepage to increase free trial sign-ups and tap into consumer motivation to encourage users to actually use your product. What “the First Strike” principle is and how to use it for users to see value in your product within 7 minutes. How to craft pricing strategies that clearly align with users’ buying habits and makes it obvious to users which plan is right for them.Which metrics you should really be tracking for behavior analysis and market insights (not all data is created equal). How to identify bottlenecks so you can tackle them head-on and scale your growth. What you need to align your team and get them pumped about growing your business with you.& much more

I’ve also packed the book with action items at the end of each section, as well as templates and canvases, so you’ll never feel like you’re fumbling in the dark.

Because there is a better way to grow and scale your SaaS. A better way to build a legendary company you’ll be remembered for.

And if you want to find out what that is, then order your copy today.

Why Product-Led Growth Is the New SaaS Playbook—Wes Bush Delivers
I just cracked this book open, and Wes Bush is already dropping bombs. Right out of the gate, he hits you with this stat:“Only 3% of buyers preferred speaking to sales, while a whopping 97% wanted to try before buying. This is a seismic shift, not a trend.”(Wes Bush, Product-Led Playbook, p. 7)At our SaaS, we call stats like this “big fat stats,” and it’s easy to see why—it’s a game-changer. Wes makes it clear: this is exactly what buyers expect today.Bush nails it: SaaS companies need to ditch old-school sales tactics and let their product speak for itself. It’s like having cutting-edge tech but still using a rotary phone for customer service. Why waste time on endless sales calls when buyers want to experience the product? It reminds me of a quote from Alex Hormozi I saw a while back: “You can take two years to build something exceptional and let your customers market it forever.” Wes takes this to the next level—if your product isn’t selling itself, you’re doing it wrong. This ties in perfectly with us at AskMyAdvisor®. Our mantra is simple: ‘Where other SaaS companies add headcount, we automate.’ We use our software and advisor customers as our salesforce. As Bush drives home, product-led growth is the future—and exceptional products are the best marketing. Whether you’re in SaaS or not, this shift in thinking makes the book a must-read.

Get it, study it, use it.
As a B2B SaaS CEO, I highly recommend The Product-Led Playbook by Wes Bush. It’s an invaluable resource for any leader looking to drive growth through product-led strategies. This book stands apart from the traditional “start-to-finish” format and serves as a true playbook—something you’ll refer back to repeatedly as your business scales and evolves.Wes effectively lays out practical steps for shifting your company’s focus from sales-driven to product-driven, empowering the product itself to be the main driver of customer acquisition, conversion, and expansion. The playbook format makes it easy to jump into specific areas of interest, whether you’re refining your free trial model, optimizing onboarding, or focusing on user engagement. What makes this book stand out is its actionable insights and real-world examples that break down complex concepts into manageable actions. This isn’t a book you’ll read once and put on the shelf. It’s a guide you’ll revisit time and again as you adjust your strategies to meet the evolving needs of your customers and business. In short, The Product-Led Playbook is a must-have for anyone running a B2B SaaS business or looking to make their product the centerpiece of their growth strategy. Get it, study it, and most importantly—use it.

Your blueprint to $10M ARR and beyond
Wes has given away the blueprint to scale your SaaS to $10M in ARR and beyond. There are very few experts (if any) who understand PLG at the level Wes does. The deeper you dive into this book, the more obvious it becomes.I wouldn’t say I’m an avid reader but I’ve read a bunch of business books. A lot of them do have great insights but more often than not, you’re just left with theory. In this book, you’ll be forced to apply all the key concepts right from the very first chapter. You’ll find value right from the get go.If you’re a SaaS founder or a GTM leader, you need to read it.

Before reading THE PRODUCT-LED PLAYBOOK, you should know about the basics: what PLG is essentially. Visit the ProductLed library for that. With that, this book is a great textbook that provides step-by-step guidance and instructions, from becoming the obvious choice for a specific user, to pricing and onboarding, to team and process orga. Each section comes with concrete examples and templates which are also available for download. This book isn’t a magic silver bullet – but offers great guidance.
