Pretty darn good
This was assigned reading for a class Iâm taking. Thereâs lots of useful stuff, but it also reads like a long ad for the authorâs website. He writes about a call to action so many times, so it is a bit too obvious when he is making that same âcall to actionâ for readers to engage with his website.

useful and clarifying
Donald Millerâs book should be required reading for anyone looking to sell anything. The perspective shift he offer – that the customer is the hero, and your brand is the guide – is an essential insight. Recommended highly.

Donald Miller does it again
He walks the walk – the book is about creating clear messaging so your clients know how you help them. Iâve read many marketing books and this has to be the easiest to follow and most logical. I highly recommend it for any business owner that wants to improve their messaging and any marketing department that wants their collateral to stand out.

Book is packed with good stuff.
I really enjoyed this one. After every chapter, you have the opportunity to put your learning on paper. The writing is done online via a free online tool provided by the author’s company. After every chapter, I made edits to my website, marketing materials, LinkedIn page, and other similar channels. This means I made upwards of 10-20 revisions on materials! Well worth the time.Read each chapter…do the work, learn, repeat. Clarity/Conciseness/Consistency is the beautiful result. There’s also a small to-do list for those gaps that need more work. Awesome ð.Book is not long but is packed with good stuff.

I donât normally leave book reviews but felt compelled with this one. Iâve been reading marketing books for the past few months to help me grow my business and the majority of them are just waffle with buzzwords thrown about for effect. This book literally guides you through the process and explains very clearly what is meant by certain terms and how you can correlate that to your own business/product/brand. Itâs very well written and any jargon used is explained and examples.Itâs made me understand marketing on a very different level and has taken away some of the overwhelm Iâve felt about it all. The story brand brainstormingsâ have been an invaluable tool to help me reassess how to take my marketing forward.Thank you!

This book will teach you how to position you product or service so that the customer is the hero of the story, not your company. This is crucial to get him interested.
