This book is written for beginners who want to become full-stack web application developers. To become a professional full-stack web developer, you must put on many hats. HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, MySQL, and PHP are the core technologies that you must be acquainted with to develop moderate data-driven web applications. All these technologies are voluminous and you need ample time to learn each one of them.

In this fast-changing technological world, no one has time to go through bulky books on these core technologies. With so many web technologies out there in the market, novices are confused and do not have enough time to evaluate these technologies to decide what to pick for their career and where to start. Keeping aside the least utilized features, I’ve written this book to focus on the more operational areas of these technologies that act as the first stepping stone and will provide you with a solid jump-start into the exciting world of web development. This book is meant to help you learn web development quickly by yourself. It follows a tutorial approach in which hands-on exercises, augmented with illustrations, are provided to teach you web application development in a short period of time. Once you get grips on these core web development technologies through this book, you will be able to easily set the destination for your future.

With uncountable sites and freely available material, this book is written due to the following reasons:

Assemble all scattered pieces in one place. This volume contains HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, PHP and MySQL. Sequential instructions are provided to download and install the required software and components to set up a complete development environment on your own pc.Focus on inspiring practical aspects of these web technologies.Last but not least, move novices gradually right from creating an HTML file with a text editor, through learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, MySQL, and PHP all the way to creating and deploying a professional e-commerce website that comprises static and dynamic pages.

From web introduction to hands-on examples and from website designing to its deployment, this book surely is a complete resource for those who know little or nothing about professional web development.

Clear explanations and real world applications
I just got this book and am nearly halfway through. As a beginner, this has helped me with grasping many if the aspects of Javascript that I had trouble with before. He’s also added in some other useful things that seem to get missed in other beginner Javascript materials. I’m glad I purchased this!

Could have just visited W3Schools, and where’s the BootStrap help?
I started out really wanting to like this book, but I couldn’t help noticing a lot of the examples were exactly the same as those in the free w3scools tutorials. I was already pretty well versed in HTML, CSS, and JS, so I bought in hopes of improving Bootstrap, Php and MySQL. Much to my disappointment, there is no chapter in my book on bootstrap. I’m assuming you use bootstrap in the final project, but I can’t do the final project because the recommended AMMPS download will not let me login to the myphpadmin. I’ve spent days trying to troubleshoot it, and it appears this just does not work. So, with that in mind, I essentially have a book that shows me how to do what I already knew in HTML, CSS, and JS. I didn’t give 1 star because I think the author’s intentions were good and he does a decent job avoiding fluff. Just wish there was more help for getting the Ammps up and running. There’s so much technical information missing with that.

Finally a well thought out and easy flowing book with real world examples
I’ve purchased many php & MySQL books, and this one is easy to understand and has a well thought out visual design and flow to the information. Also the author provides real world examples with clear explanations.

AM BLOWN APART BY THE LOOK AND EXPERIENCE OF READING THE BOOK. HOW WONDERFULLY ORGANISED. WHAT WONDERFUL, HUGE FONT, PRESENTATION, LAYOUT AND VIEW OF THE CONTENTS.HAVE ATTACHED PIC.S HEREWITH. YOU YOURSELF SEE HOW WONDERFULLY THE AUTHOR HAS ORGANISED THE TOPICS AND NICELY EXPLAINED. DEFINITELY AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE. MAYBE, FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE QUITE WELL-VERSED IN THE FIELD AND ARE LOOKING FOR IN-DEPTH RESOURSE, MAYBE, IT MIGHT NOT TURN OUT BE 100% WHAT THEY’RE EXPECTING FOR, BUT TO GET A THRUST INTO THE FIELD, IT IS INVALUABLE.BUT IT IS SUCH A BIG AND VAST BOOK THAT DEFINITELY THERE WILL BE KNOWLEDGE FOR EVERYONE TO GAIN FROM IT. TO BE HONEST, I HAVE JUST STARTED READING THE BOOK, BUT STILL FELT JUSTIFIED TO GIVE A REVIEW BASED ON THE ORGANISATION OF IT’S LAYOUT OF CONTENTS, PLEASING APPEARANCE AND SUCH NEAT, ORGANISED KNOWLEDGE.INITIALLY I FELT IT’S QUITE EXPENSIVE, BUT I FEEL THE AUTHOR IS QUITE JUSTIFIED FOR IT, BECAUSE, NOWHERE IN THE INTERNET CAN I GET SUCH RESOURCE. THOUGH THE INTERNET IS FILLED WITH SUCH RESOURCES, IT IS IN VERY CLUTTERED FORM AND EVERYONE IN TODAY’S WORLD IS OUT TO CONFUSE YOU WITH THE CONCEPTS THAN HELP IN AN ORGANISED WAY. GOD BLESS THE AUTHOR.

Book in global is very good. It describes everything that you should learn about web development. But it came in black printed. I think it would be better in colour because in css it is helpful if the book is printed in colour.

I received the book yesterday and although I have not started reading it yet I have a few problems.1) The printing on a lot of the pages is smudged to the extent that some are unreadable. Particularly page 362. I suspect that the whole print run is like this which seems bad. I cannot understand why the publishers are still selling this as they must know about the problem.2) The code download link does not include any of the code in the html files illustrated in the book. I would expect this. It seems that you have to type each file to experiment with them? I can locate no information on GitHub.So far I am quite disappointed. I have emailed the author at the address given in the book but have not received a reply.

Probably the best book buy on Amazon this year when it comes to doing what I bought the book for. It is well laid out and covers all the elements I was looking for. Some parts a bit too basic as I have self-taught myself HTML and CSS but it is great to revise and review. The rest of the book offers good insight into Full stack web development which is a sector I am looking to take from hobby to career as a freelance developer for web site creation and applications. I would definately recomend it to all people looking to understand what full stack website development is all about.

I purchased the book to learn web development. However, I am disappointed when I received a black/white photocopy of the original book. Some illustrations are so dark that I cannot clearly see the example code. The description in the post did not mention that it is just a photocopy.
