You get a good overview of the 8 areas of Web marketing and enough details to give you a good start. You might only need to start with 4 or 5 of these, then add another one within a few months. What Web marketers often lack, including me, is a good plan. Pages 70 & 71 give the Website Preflight Checklist. There are other lists in this large book. The info is easy to understand and moderately hard to implement. (Did you expect making money in 2014 would be easy?) The book has many links to helpful marketing and IT places, such as to action verbs and to example Websites. This is a five-stars book that will be helpful in 2014 and probably 2015. However, Internet marketing changes and some sections may be incomplete or wrong by August 2015 or before. But a lot of the advice on such areas as copy writing and Website design may be useful for several more years.

Very informative
Bought this as a gift for someone for Christmas. They absolutely love it and find it very informative. I plan to borrow it in the near future to check it out myself

A concise, informative and valuable read to improve marketing opportunities.
I bought this book for my husband who is an attorney to consolidate internet marketing into a concise, understandable tool. He is very happy with it and has made changes to his Google and website accessibilities. Very well done. And my husband, when it comes to computers, has been a “dummy”. He now can’t say that!

This book is useful but the charts/ tables are rendered so poorly that it is difficult to make out the text.
The image problems are making it quite frustrating to read. I wouldn’t recommend buying this book for the kindle/ kindle ipad app until, this issue is fixed

Glossary
I knew quite a bit about Web Marketing but would get confused sometimes by the “terms” being used around me. This book provided me with a good glossary for the vocabulary I was missing. Great buy and I have used it to check my progress whenever I do a Promotion. Simple and easy to understand. I’d buy it again.

informative
It’s a big book. I had originally bought it just to read upon affiliate marketing, but, as my goals have evolved over time, I now am reading it to market my website. I has a lot of information that I will be using and some that isn’t relevant to my situation. Just pick and choose what you need to learn about and don’t read what isn’t important you to.

La serie FOR DUMMIES non si smentisce mai.Qualche informazioni puo’ essere leggermente obsoleta, resta comunque un bel manuale che ti guida passo passo nella giungla del web marketing. Consigliato.

I don’t always find books from the “For Dummies” useful.Sometimes it seems to me that they grabbed a normal book with some jokes added here and there, and like 87 pages of preamble (“contents at a glance”, “detailed contents”, “introduction”, “prologue”, etc. etc.)That’s not the case with “Web Marketing for Dummies”. No Jokes, not too much self-description of the book’s own structure… just the facts, clear and to the point.Size: This is a hefty book, though. In the cover says “8 books in 1”, and that’s no joke. Each crucial aspect of web marketing is exposed in what could be a light book of 100 pages.Topics: Fairly updated, it covers though some aspects of web marketing that have fallen in disregard (if not contempt): email marketing, and affiliation marketing. But it covers very well the core of any web presence that aspires to generate sales: website design, social marketing, blogging and podcasting. I only missed a section on video blogging, but I must concede that it is a more complex and ambitious technique that deserves a full book (or more than one) on its own.In short: Well written, practical, highly recommended.
