smallrig makes carefully considered high quality products adn this one is no exception. The “cage” is oversized to fit all phones. THe important thing is how it clamps your phone. You need a lot of headroom to assess for not squeezing the volume or power button in landscape view. I used it on my 15 pro with case anyway. I don’t want to leave marks on the phone. My only complaint is there should be more 1/4″ threads even though there is allegedly 20 of them. Its very light and sturdy. The shoe mounts help and so do the 2 zip ties.

Solid product, but not perfect for the iPhone 16
Was inspired by the iPhone 16 music video with The Weekend and was looking for professional video equipment. The product quality is more than you can ask for. The only reason its not 5 start is the iPhone 16 has the new camera control button and if you tighten the vice to much you can activate the camera control by accident. This can be easily avoided by not tightening the vice too much and the rig is still able to hold the phone no problems.
