Timesaver, fun, must-have sidekick to main book!
This is SUCH a must-have to pair with Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. I’m sure I’d skip the practice / writing part if I didn’t have this sidekick. To the author’s point, is crucial to NOT skip the practice part (they discuss how it’s not about penmanship… it’s about associating the latter with the sound and cementing that in your child’s brain). My son is actually 6.5 and just finished kindergarten. He could read sight words and three letter words before starting the book. We’re 11 lessons in, and while he breezes through these early ones, it’s built so much confidence. He really looks forward to this instead of dreading big words he can’t quite decipher, and like the authors say – nothing wrong with re-reading a sound a bunch of times. It’s setting us up for success because he’s not frustrated and intimidated from the get-go… he sees the book and workbook and doesn’t roll his eyes. The companion is kind of the “fun” part of it. Also, he loves to color, and the workbook companions star-coloring page is a fun treat at the end. Grateful to have this for the summer!!

    Missing pages brought new
I brought this book new and clearly it’s used because pages 9-12 have been torn out. Pretty upset cause we just start school today and now I don’t know what information I am missing

    SLP/Mom Approved
As both a mom and practicing pediatric SLP, I highly recommend this companion book. This is a great tool for translating learned phonetic sounds into writing practice! My son has been thriving with this approach.

    Amazing workbook
AMAZING and wish I bought this sooner! My granddaughter is halfway through her lessons from “Teach your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons” and it seemed like the writing portion always took longer than it needed to. I found this workbook on a whim and I AM SO GLAD I DID! It is so cute and is SUCH A HUGE HELP. My granddaughter gets so excited to color in her “star” after finishing her lesson and she carries around her workbook so proudly. Love the original book and LOVE this workbook. Going to buy another one for my other granddaughter when she starts her “lessons” too in about a year.

Makes the teaching process way easier
I randomly added this to my cart after we bought the original book and I’m so glad I did. Some of the instructions in the original book took a while for even me to understand so it was nice having each letter explained in the same place we were expected to write. The workbook made the process much simpler for both of us. Would buy again.
